Umahi and Ayade are most likely running from EFCC.

There is already a Supreme Court judgement on the matter in the case of Atiku Abubakar in 2007. Except the constitution is amended, there is no consequences for defection by an elected executive office holder.

Btw, freedom of association is a fundamental human right that cannot be taken away. If someone is no longer comfortable in a political party, you can’t deny him the right to move to another party.

Why Ayade and Umahi? What about other high profile defectors?....basic sense tells one that these two Governors have done well and must have discovered good reasons to defect and the PDP SUPREMO feel threatened

I think Wike made a good point concerning defections here and there whether APC or PDP
