The NWT purposely indicated with John 1:1 that something is fishy but if you don't have interest you won't know.

There's no reason to render the word God or god but for the reader to know that the original Greek manuscript made a distinction between Jesus and Jehovah the translators of the NWT like other translators rendered it differently using the small letter "g"

The writers called Jesus and others like Moses God (THEOS) but for Jehovah they rendered the title (THEON) meaning the two are not the same person. That's the import!
