Work hard bro.. Stay focus....

An average hard working man living in Nigeria is 10x more hard working than a Nigeria in diaspora.

Stop talking down on those living In Nigeria bro, the limitations, lack of opportunities, bad government, insecurity, lack of health insurance, contract jobs and a lot more they contend with is enough hard work alone. Swap position with that same man and see the speed he passes you with in little or no time and see how you struggle to even make a kobo.

That you're privilege doesn't make the next man less human, learn to be humble bro.

Are u really sure this is easier?
Saving 5k daily and still paying ur rent culminates to about 60k weekly commitment don't forget that.
10months and u have saved 1.2 million. That's very good but let's face it, how many people can pay 60k every week for 10months continuously, dedicatedly? And still settle current needs?? Apart from discipline, the money may not be realised every week.

On d other hand, d person on HP is midway gone his payments of 30k weekly. Yes, his car will be naija used and so is the car the rental guy will be buying.

Like I said, what guarantees do u have that in 10months time, ur target car will remain d same price as when u started the rental? None.
Like I said, I always use myself as example. If I can do it, anyone can if they want to.

Bolded is not correct. Do ur calculations well.

Bros I talk of that period when lekki ikoyi toll was still active...

Besides to cal that bolt commission is diffult because before you're able to do you don complete 10trips... Back tracking is difficult most time couple with their bonus and all that. I just ignore and stay focus to my earning at hand and in acct jor.

Inbtw, Fashola is planning on introducing tolls in Nigeria roads again... This A*C government self, like what is their problem fa!??

Everything you guys(Yourself and Mr CheerfulGiver) have said is the truth. Let me briefly give my experience in regards to rental.

A "friend" provided the first car I drove on bolt. We had a verbal agreement- weekly remittal was 15k but I take care of all repairs. And whenever I took the car for repairs, I don't remit. So I started work. After being on the job for some weeks, I noticed that it paid better than the profits from my other business but in tandem with salary, so I decided to buy my own car. But before I'll do that, I opted for upgrading my friend's car because I noticed that other drivers with upgraded cars had more offline jobs.

I bought leather seat cover, headrest TV and changed foot mats. Note that he's mechanic was in charge of repairs. So one day, he called asking why I added those features to the Corolla and I told him that I just wanted to stand out from the regular cars. Dude didn't say anything. Some weeks later, he called pleading that I should help him provide the Car's spare tire to the wife ( she had a flat tire while driving home). Well that was the first time she saw the car in months. Now, just two weeks later, my pady called and complained that the 15k remittal was peanuts. He wants 30k. I said that this was only possible in Lagos ( I live in the FCT). After much back and forth, we agreed on 20k( note that he hasn't asked to see the car).

Well, unfortunately for me, I had bought alloy wheels( a fatal decision as you would see later). As usual, my friend's auto tech fixed it up and he keeps the damaged/replaced item for my friend(owner). Just two days later, owner called complaining bitterly about the adjustments to the car. Amongst all he said, the statement he made which stuck in my mind was " Abi, you wan take style collect the car from me?" Let me not say how hurtful I felt regarding that statement. I drove for some days but I wasn't myself.

After much deep thought and consideration, I decided to return the car without taking as much as a pin out of it. My exact words amongst others were " this one when you talk say I wan collect your car, I know say you and your wife Don talk about the matter. And if anything happen to you, your family go come say na me kill you. You and me Don know tye tye. Me and you no how we take hustle before we fit reach were we dey so but for you to talk dis kain......."

He did call severally but I just ignored. That experience made me more determined and I got my own car some month's later( I'm even trying to get another one). But do you know that I was told later that it was the wife's brother that started using the car?

At times, I blame myself that I invested too much on a car that wasn't mine but I had a purpose for it. Personally, I believe that if you want to make more money, you will need to spend money. I had plans and Good intentions for the car too but people will always be people. So, Your advice and that of Mr CheerfulGiver are top notch.

Hmm... I'll come back to this let me see hiw far the thread has gone

My brother, all you said is true. Whether it's HP or rental, drivers are at loss and That's why I've always emphasized the need for each individual to determine what's best for you and the job. The experiences we provide is for people learn from the mistakes.

I don't know much about psychology of riders in Lagos but here in the FCT, believe me when I say if your car isn't the Corollas and Camrys of 2006-2012 and it's has unique features, the majority of your rides will be completed largely offline. In fact, riders book you and I'm sure you know what it means. Corollas and Camrys have little or no respect to riders except you do an upgrade. Moreover, the upgrades are benefits for the owners.

There are details I didn't provide here but be rest assured that my friend had no intention of creating problems. Be honest Mr Pearl, if you have a driver that pro-actively maintains your car properly, tells you that he would undertake a large chunk from the cost of an upgrade of your car, pays your remittance when due, will you take that car away from him? If you will, well I won't. It's difficult to get selfless drivers like that. Do you know that he had to sell that car because his brother- in -law nearly rendered it useless?

And I have no regrets. I believe that if you do good even in bad situations, good must find you later. The wife pressured the husband to retrieve the car but today, na my second car I wan buy. At times, na owners dey make drivers wicked.

Bro... Haha... See anything a woman is involve just forget it! But we'll, some women shall let me not generalize it because I've had some good dealings with a few women that people even people started suspecting we were dating and know how rumors spread na... Na so the hubby collect car from my hand all for no reason.

Some women?! Fear them ooh most of them don't have good mind. But it's the men I blame Most of the times because as for me my wife and other person can only advise or give their opinion but not take the final decision but again, you want peace in your home as a man and you know how women can nag their men to death. No man wants that! So they just allow them have their way but again the man gave room for that. So that was what actually happened in this case with you and your friend. So you need to understand and don't take it up grudges with him like it was his own calling. Once a man is married there're lot of things you need to just try to understand when he does things because somebody somewhere is also controlling the same wheel with him. After all no be you dey with am for house na the woman and na she know how d matter be wit them.

But some men?! OMG! They're worst than women! Gosh!!! Disgusting men... They nag, complain, repeat words like children, so particular about things...

Okay. I picked up a rental at some point. No week I'll not spend at least 2 days in his mechanic wk, from radiator to shaft, from shaft to tyriod, the next week battery, same day tire, the following week the right shaft, break failed on 31st night on my way home if not for God's given experience He's the only one that knows what would have happened because I was doing 80kmh, no spare tire no spare wheel and me I don't like driving car without spare so I'd to pull out money from my savings, traffigator light not working because they changed the headlamp from 02 to 05 I spent about 4k fixing that. Shey na AC I won take? Abi na shock absorber or servicing... I bought 2 tires 8k each with my money... I thought I was working with a fellow young guy like myself with head but never knew this guy is such a f00l with no heart at all. Yet I still remit to him normal oh...

After all the issues with the car has been fixed this 1diot collected his car... He even asked me to use keke napepe home I regretted why I didn't punch him in his mouth that day self now... I swear... I just looked at him... Picked up my phone and ordered a ride, my ride arrived and as I was picking my things he said, okay bro cancel the ride make i drop you for house shocked I didn't even say a word to him... I just left.

How about the one I borrowed money to buy brand new shock absorber nko? I still paid for workmanship to replace it... The next week the foool said his colleague needs to use the car for marriage, na coastain round about I deliver the car to the guy till now wey I dey type this message I never see my money...

The one that always get his rental money 2/3days before Mondays nko? One Thursday like that na so guy man called me asking "how far na I never hear from you oh" Omo I change am for am straight... Shuu!!! I started doing it every Mondays b4 noongrin two week later guy man said he wants to travel with his car... Na travel him still dey for over 3months now...

You see enh! We as humans can't be pleased no matter how you do they even hate you for doing them good. But you know what, keep doing good and keep being yourself a day will definitely come that your rewards will be full with no stress whatsoever.

Take Pearl1910 for an example. Dose he have two heads.. He has few cars on uber platform and he also drives too ..

He is a parthner /driver and he is a family man like you .. Again does he have two heads ? And he is the same age as you and a family man like u .....

Instead of to tap into his knowledge and experience and let him advice u.. But u refuse to do that and you continue to make excuses.... The people that are following and cheering u on this platform are the ones that will suffer the most....

You need to change your mind set and maybe change your circles of friends.....

And u talk like USA is a golden place to be etc .. Yes there is opportunities in Yankee just like anywhere else.. But it is up to the individual to make the best out of it ....nothing is guaranteed in this life except for death and taxes.....

All the nonsense that you are spewing on this thread . you can actually monetize that and set up a YouTube channel and get paid... And you will get alot of viewers and followers that are actually dumb to reason with your ideology ....... Have given u an idea now for u to do .. And I bet $200.00 anyone reading this that u will not take my advice ... And u will continue to make excuses..........

The ball is in ur court.... " A word is enough for the wise"

Pls how do you guys do this ?
Send people out of your car, once you seated I can’t or don’t know how to tell an adult get down from my car.

Yesterday I was abused by one yellow owambe sisi eko, I sensed it from phone conversation but it was 1.8 surge and couldn’t resist the temptation.
Rider: where are you ? (No greeting)
Me: I’m at (she cuts)
Rider: you say you arrived but not here
Me: I’m at Campbell street st nicholas (raising my voice too )
Rider: No ooh, not St Nicholas. I’m at cambell event hall, ask people around pls.
Me: (dis na troublemaker) just cancel
Rider: (called again ) come to 3rd floor
Got to third floor car pack, she kept calling all this while but didn’t pick.
Me: (picked ) I’m in 3rd floor
Rider: shouted I said 4 not 3rd, 4th floor, 4 ooh
Me: ( my spirit telling me to jappa and cancel, but surge won’t allow me listen )
Picked her...
Rider: wear your mask oooh
Me: (looked at her so she would see my mask is on)
Rider: be fast ohh ( then she started spraying disinfectant in the car speaking both English and Yoruba, wanted to ask what she was spraying and without permission)
Me: ( just dumb and numb, who sent me)
We made several stops but I just held me cool.
We stopped to tie gele, stopped to withdraw money. In all the stops, she was commanding me with attitude as if I was her driver and she owns me and the car.
I was sure of giving her 1star cause I don’t want to ever meet her again but mistakenly or unconsciously I gave her 5star, pained me.

But how do you look at an adult and say pls come down from my car ?
I could have parked and say pls I no go again, but don’t think I have it in me right now.

Haha... No mind kanuisagoat him just dey whine Pearl1910 nipples, though I understand what pearl1910 is trying to say especially when you as the driver has studied your owner partner to understand he/she is a kind that don't appreciate things or find excuse in almost everything even when you pay rent meant to be every Mondays on Sundays or Saturdays he/she will still complain it came too late. Such people don't deserve anything good from driver to their car. If car spoil take it to the owner simple.

But as for me I don't see myself working with such a person sham sham!

Life, If the landlord is nasty, I go comot all fancy switches, chandelier grin and put what I met. But if nice and understanding I can even put tiles and pop without collecting balance.

But before I do any improvement, I still need permission from landlord. Because when I leave he will be responsible for the maintainance of that improvement. Or if it is to be removed it might damage his structure.

That's my own perspective.

Menh... This just reminded me of one wicked LL in my area he'll give tenant an apartment only to quit the tenant after a yr or 2 and the tenant must have improve the house b4 then. So one young mad guy collected an apartment in his compound but b4 he did his friends warned him not to due to the LL's habit they've observed.

Fastward to 2yrs, this young man has renovated his apartment with good tiles, burglary and some new jacuzzi... na so oga LL start to mis-fire give the guy quit notice, guy man not talk... They went to court and court gave him 6months... He did 9months b4 moving out, if you see watin dis guy did to this apartment b4 leaving enh... You go pity oga LL grin. He broke all the tiles from the frontage to the very last inside, broke the pole, washing hand basin, even broke the walls in the kitchen and bathroom and toilet removed his burglary and left.

Oga LL spent I'm sure over 500k to fix the apartment b4 he was able to rent it out after about 6monthsgrin since that day na tenants dey park out when they're tired of stayinggrin

So you see end... This life? You can't always go free from every wrong doings a day of reckoning will always come and when it comes everything you've gathered will go down the drain in just a minute.
