I have noticed that anytime I get tips on card trips, bolt usually adds it to my money and takes commission from it. Guys is this alright?

Bolt will also collect commission on tolls and car parks... Na today you know? But these are things Uber don't do. Commission is only on the fare. The last I even checked wait time is 100% driver's earning.

Anyone taking a HP deal must ensure that the car comes with brand new tires, brand new shocks, brand new linkages, ball joints, brand new fuel pump, brand new battery, brand new radiator, make sure the catalyst is intact, engine already serviced and ready to work.

Most HP providers are only after money and not your success. They don't care if you succeed or not that's why there is a clause to retrieve car if you default. They don't care if the car starts breaking down 2 days after contract is signed, intentionally forgetting Tokunbo cars are basically used cars with parts about to start failing. They'll collect full payment and still collect car from you if you default.

HP providers aren't doing you any favours. It's business. If you must deposit 300k upfront, you have to get the worth of it. It's time to turn the tables. They can't keep coming here with

You must have this
You must bring this
You must be this

They also MUST give out cars that won't break down in first two months, or forget the deal. Sell the car. If they don't have the funds to fix those sensitive parts, then driver MUST identify those parts that need replacing and driver MUST deduct the cost from the security deposit.

I don't like HP deals, but if you insist on a deal, don't enslave yourself from the get go. Get a car that will be a good head start, else if you don't do a proper check before signing the contract, you're liable for the over hauling of the whole vehicle and provider won't give a shit_

Thank you for your comment... All points raised are valid and optional not mandatory... That is why inspection before going into an agreement.. You said most HP providers not all, glad you know.
By the way I know what am bringing to the table and have spelled it out to those that have shown interest and care to reach out. I understand the economy is hard on everyone so to identify the best opportunity, you have to take a step back to examine the risks involved

I tried to maintain my cool. Showed her the no of times I've tried calling her. I asked why she too didn't call. She began schooling me on why only drivers MUST call. I jejely asked her to get out my car. The thing pain her o. But I no care. Twas even an opportunity for me to go eat.

Hey guys,
I need your advice.
Anybody heard about flywheel?
Please what causes it to break??
Mine has broken for the fifth time now.
First time:
Mechanic brought down the engine, removed the flywheel and bought another. He said my converter is vibrating and they (he gave it to the people who work on it) did some work on it to “stabilize it”.
Second timesadtwo days later)
They dropped the engine and said it broke at another spot. Long story short, he gave the excuse that my Corolla 04 has a different model of flywheel (old model flywheel) and sha replaced it (I had a feeling it was all bobo).
Third time: (two weeks later)
They dropped the engine and they said they went to look for “gear box specialist” from ladipo to properly investigate what is going on. Long story short, they said the guy did some work and it won’t happen again.
Fourth time: (like two weeks later)
They advised I should change my converter and the flywheel.
We did.
Fifth time: (one week later)
This is now, they are advising I should just change my whole gearbox.

Anybody has this kind of challenge please?
I need help and answers please.

I'm just having the feeling that some well known politicians with deep pockets are behind the disagreements btw that guy and myself because just look at the deep understanding we both have yet we are just fighting over nothing... Look at the posts that have come in from both ends in the last 2-4days... 100% imagine if these two characters come together in harmony car owners go japa o because a lot of drivers go wisen up.

Okay, just imagine I got a call from somebody last night as I returned from work, what is the problem bros? They where trying to settle misunderstanding btw oga and driver on who will replace a bad compressor. I was like! Which kind stupid question be this na... But b4 I talk further I first of all asked, what was the agreement signed on the rental papers? Driver said he complained and had a verbal agreement btw himself, the owner and the lawyer for that clause to be removed, but guy you saw they didn't removed it yet you still went ahead to sign. Oboy you don use your hands roast yourself with fire na.

My friend go and replace that compressor no case here abeg.

I hanged up. com c as I come begin vex untop matter wey no concern me ogrin

Like a lot of things are wrong in this rental/hp deal of a thing. Lile how Will an owner request 25/30k yet still wants driver to manage minor repairs(below 10k) and periodic servicing? Ask them to define minor repairs now they can't and the driver will fail to understand that minor repairs can occur 2-3 times in a month or two, maybe first time he spends 5-7k the next week he will spend another 8k... Mind you mechanic is owner's... How Will he allow it exceeds 10k knowing fully well owner(oga) will be the one to pay. It won't exceed "lie ye" grin because oga and him mechanic has orchestrated it in such that driver continues to repair the car, service it and also pays rent, they'll be romancing his ego if they see driver is remitting regularly despite constant minor repairs of the car... 6month 1yr driver can't still afford a naija use let alone a tok for himself and he'll be happy that at least he's maintenaing one partner unknowing to him he's not making any reasonable progress.

If you to go for HP? Get a driver first then the both of you should sit down and analyze how the deal should go, the driver should be the one to made his choice of car not owner... You bought a car I do not have any history or knowledge about and you want me to drop upfront payment and play by your rules... No na.

Strong point.

But don't forget HP is practically car purchase, so driver should carry mechanic and do due diligence on the car just like if he was purchasing the car cash and carry.

U don't ask a car dealer for guarantee of any part when buying a car so how can u give driver guarantees?

God no go let make Kidnappers pose as driver for you.

Order a ride when you're ready, and negotiate with the driver.

Or better still, ask interested drivers to send you a mail. You can know the active ones from their monikers.

Remove your contact from there. My opinion sha.

Everything you guys(Yourself and Mr CheerfulGiver) have said is the truth. Let me briefly give my experience in regards to rental.

A "friend" provided the first car I drove on bolt. We had a verbal agreement- weekly remittal was 15k but I take care of all repairs. And whenever I took the car for repairs, I don't remit. So I started work. After being on the job for some weeks, I noticed that it paid better than the profits from my other business but in tandem with salary, so I decided to buy my own car. But before I'll do that, I opted for upgrading my friend's car because I noticed that other drivers with upgraded cars had more offline jobs.

I bought leather seat cover, headrest TV and changed foot mats. Note that he's mechanic was in charge of repairs. So one day, he called asking why I added those features to the Corolla and I told him that I just wanted to stand out from the regular cars. Dude didn't say anything. Some weeks later, he called pleading that I should help him provide the Car's spare tire to the wife ( she had a flat tire while driving home). Well that was the first time she saw the car in months. Now, just two weeks later, my pady called and complained that the 15k remittal was peanuts. He wants 30k. I said that this was only possible in Lagos ( I live in the FCT). After much back and forth, we agreed on 20k( note that he hasn't asked to see the car).

Well, unfortunately for me, I had bought alloy wheels( a fatal decision as you would see later). As usual, my friend's auto tech fixed it up and he keeps the damaged/replaced item for my friend(owner). Just two days later, owner called complaining bitterly about the adjustments to the car. Amongst all he said, the statement he made which stuck in my mind was " Abi, you wan take style collect the car from me?" Let me not say how hurtful I felt regarding that statement. I drove for some days but I wasn't myself.

After much deep thought and consideration, I decided to return the car without taking as much as a pin out of it. My exact words amongst others were " this one when you talk say I wan collect your car, I know say you and your wife Don talk about the matter. And if anything happen to you, your family go come say na me kill you. You and me Don know tye tye. Me and you no how we take hustle before we fit reach were we dey so but for you to talk dis kain......."

He did call severally but I just ignored. That experience made me more determined and I got my own car some month's later( I'm even trying to get another one). But do you know that I was told later that it was the wife's brother that started using the car?

At times, I blame myself that I invested too much on a car that wasn't mine but I had a purpose for it. Personally, I believe that if you want to make more money, you will need to spend money. I had plans and Good intentions for the car too but people will always be people. So, Your advice and that of Mr CheerfulGiver are top notch.

I was about asking how this people sleep at night a day before yesterday. I don't think an average dispatch rider go a day without denting someone's car. They now have this habit of not stopping, look the dent and just zoom off and it's crazy how they gather once one of them have score to settle.
