Kano’s Top Official Celebrates Taliban’s Takeover In Afghanistan As ‘Win-Win’

Muaz Magaji, Chairman of the Kano State Gas Pipeline Project Delivery and Gas Industrialisation Committee, has celebrated the victory of the Taliban terrorist group in Afghanistan, prayed for by Isa Pantami, the Minister of communications and Digital Economy.

Magaji, who was first sacked for celebrating the death of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, and later reappointed to his current position, described unfolding developments in Afghanistan as a win-win.

In a manner not dissimilar from Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, who openly declared support for the terrorist group, Magaji said the Taliban taking over power in Afghanistan is a “win.”

Reacting to a story in the Daily News Hausa, announcing the Taliban government in Afghanistan, Magaji said, “It’s a WIN-WIN in Afghanistan today!”

Magaji becomes the second government official among members of the ruling All Progressive Congress party who will openly declare support and endorse a terrorist group.

Taliban fighters entered the city of Kabul on Sunday, hijacked power, forcing President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to flee the country.

It's crystal clear that a vast majority of Afghan people wanted the Taliban government. There's nothing to pretend about it. Whether Muaz Magazi says it or not, the facts remain for all to see. The US just wasted their time and resources for two decades.

The bottom line is that Osama Bin Laden has been killed. The US just needs to keep monitoring the activities of the Taliban government. If they become a threat to our world, the United States will step in and put them where they belong again.

Couple of months ago, govt (Nigeria) was talking tough about prosecuting 100 terrorist financiers in Nigeria whose names have been compiled. But I knew that was a mirage in the desert.

When Boko Haram started, the Pew reported that only about 30% of people in northern Nigeria were against it. Do not be deceived, if it's happening to "them", it's justice and "HE" wills it. If it's happening to "us" is a crime.

Smh in dismay

Sorry to say this but the truth of the matter is that so many people that are handling political posts in this kontri no just get sense....they are wrapped in selfishness.

Majority of the politicians in Nigeria are the ones sponsoring that ill-sect called BOKO Haram

I see Boko Haram and bandits, both the repentant ones and those still on the battlefield rising up against northern Nigeria, I see the south breaking away from the crisis, I see the north becoming worse than Afghanistan.

This I have seen.

Pantami family member. The North is so much happy for what has happened in Afghanistan and don't be a fool, the presidency is happy too. Or have you heard them issue any statement against the reported treatment of girls and women?

And who told you with Biden U.S will step in?

Have you not seen the press conference and his lackadaisical attitude?

What of the 11000 Americans still left in Afghanistan that the incompetent administration is saying they don't know how to get the Americans to the airport safely?

Very incompetent, even leaving behind state of the art weapons and destructive drones for the Taliban.

Smh.

Trump's strategy was to leave behind about 2000 troops and when needed, send back reinforcements in case of Taliban breaking the deal.

But no..Biden and his team just pulled everyone out..well except for 11000 of their own civilians.

Now they are going about and executing those who supported the U.S army among them, what has Biden done?.

This is what some supposed civilized people on nairaland fail to understand, Afghans wants Taliban, a fact western media will never want the rest of the world to see!

Taliban is not a terror group like Boko Haram, when have terrorists ever held press conference in front of the media?

It's victory for the people of Afghanistan, the occupying western forces are now gone!

This is ignorant post.
@Bolded

US attacked a sovereign nation and brought war to them because of 911. Yet, not one single Afghan was involved in the 911 attack, they were all Saudi Arabians.
US continues to Canoodle with Saudi in never accused them of anything. Osama Bin Laden is from Saudi, not from Afghanistan.

US spent $837 billion on war fighting alone and $145 billion on rebuild what they damaged in Afghanistan. Over one trillion spent on a war that did absolutely nothing but cause pain and distress to Afghans.
Even Americans are complaining about this war and how it hurt, rather than help Afghans.

This war has helped US GDP and helped to keep their people in jobs.

What good did this war do for Afghanistan?
