These are not the first Afghan refugees admitted into Western countries.

Don't be a prophet of doom. Wish them well and hope that they will integrate well. A property developer I know is from Afghanistan. The Syrians (over 50,000) Canada admitted doing well. Some are even creating businesses of their own, some are buying farms for cultivation, and others are in the employment line.
