Monogamy:Born-again is simply a means by which one gains access to the Kingdom of God - John 3 vs 1 - 8 - either through the broad gate that leads to destruction or the narrow gate that leads to true life- Matthew 7 vs 13- 14 ![]() So do not let the word Born-again decieve you into believing such a person if of God as even the children of the devil- those on the way to Hell - are also Born-again. ![]() |

Yes once saved is always saved EXCEPT YOU GIVE UP YOUR SALVATION BY YOURSELF. I have written extensively on this on my many threads bothering on salvation. |

naija4life247:See this one. You are probably a very greedy person by nature. Me that has bleeped almost all the choir members and you that's greedy and committing other sins...what makes u think that God will accept ur short comings and reject mine? Or u think you are perfect Unless u are perfect urself, u have no right to condemn anyone...and God never told u he will consider u because u tried more than the other...even Timothy said if u keep all the commandments and yet fail in one U've failed all. So brother me and u are all the same before the Lord. |

![]() Just follow God in your heart with all your strength, and seek him always, and may Jesus Save us as we humble ourselves before God, not man |

What we have on earth regarding Salvation is TEMPORAL, preparing us for the ETERNAL Salvation. That's why the bible says in Matthew 24:13 "He who endures till the end shall be saved" |

YOU'RE NEVER SAVED UNTIL YOU'RE SAFE, nobody is safe in this world The delivered live by grace Show me a man who THINKS he's saved/safe, and I will show you one ready to fall... 1 Cor 10:12 says " If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall." |

olutj:Salvation, as described by Jesus Christ in John 3 vs 16 - 21, is from the condemnation of Sin- Genesis 3 vs 16 - 17 - aka Death, a curse. If that which we are saved from is itself temporal in nature, what is it that we require eternal salvation from? ![]() |

unstoppable51:This teaching is a wrong interpretation of God's word and the teaching of Jesus Christ. Salvation and Eternal life are synonyms. If your teaching was correct then there would be no purpose of Scripture also telling one of his/her name being written in the book of life. Anyone who is born again has received the free gift of Salvation through and in Jesus Christ and such a person continues to live in sin is on a free ride to hell. There's no such thing as such a person will go to heaven and not receive a reward. The essence of rewards are for those who diligently do God's work and try to leave according to God's standard. For by their service/works to God they will be rewarded. For each work/service rendered unto God shall pass through fire. |

Rev 3:5 The one who overcomes, this one will be clothed in white clothing. And I will not blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. |

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.I have discovered that majority of the warnings we're directed to God's people. We shouldn't loose focus. Tell me about work out your salvation? 12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, |

Once saved is not always saved because a saved person can decide they are done with Christ and exit the relationship that keeps them saved. Don't take my word for it, read Heb 6:4-8 and see for yourself. In case you can't get to a bible, check out the images attached to this post: the verses are highlighted, 6 different versions! A believer can surely lose their salvation as that passage says, unless I do not really understand the English language. Cheers.

blamingthedevil:Read Paul’s argument from Romans chapter 5:19 into chapter 6. The sin there is a noun and not a verb. He is dealing with the nature and not the act. |

No its not. It will lead you to Hell. Daily striving in Holiness and Daily Repentance is vital. |

biggy26:Its referring to both, how can we be dead to Adam's Sin (original sin which we've been delivered from), continue there in (continue to commit it by now disobeying the doctrines, rules, instructions of Christ in our day to day lives). |

[quote author=timifaithus post=105072608]That's not true o. If you have a gold coin that falls inside the mud and get dirty; does the gold coin still retains its value or not? The answer is, the value never changed. It maybe dirty in look, but its worth remain the same. That is the truth. |

Kobojunkie:Yes you are absolutely correct! Eternal Salvation from eternal death. It is temporal as along as we are still here (on earth) awaiting the consummation (eternal life). Picture it this way - A university student is yet to graduate but sometimes people start calling them by their professional name. But the name calling doesnt validate the completion yet, it is till they successfully complete the study. Paul said I have finished my course. Therefore the prize itself is in the successful completion of the race here on earth. The person who is truly or indeed saved is one whose salvation is still intact till the point of transition with Christ (rapture) or the day of physical death. |
