It could as well be from a vaccinated carrier, but I don't know her style of living. She might have been avoiding social contact and her kids might be the only conduit through which the virus entered her household. It might be her kid that first tested positive.

If adults behave responsibly, we would have less worry about kids.

I am fully vaccinated. I still wear masks to protect others and to get protected as well. Kids should be encouraged to wear masks at schools. It's a mask and not some pipe being forced down people's throat to keep them alive. I believe many people would prefer the former (mask) over the latter (intubation).
