Please use what you can afford... But the Hose should be faced directly to the root... Don't allow water to splash on the leaves

Ok bro, seems you're one of the pro's cool... But how will l prevent water from touching the leaves at early stage(germination stage) where the leaves are almost at ground level

Bro I'm not a Pro... Okoroemeka and Farmerakinloye na dem dey run the show now ooo.

Regarding your question... That's why you have to use a Fungicide like Cabriduo from week 2...alternate with another Fungicide like Ridomil Gold.... Once the plant has passed ground level... Concentrate the Nozzle of the Hose to the Root

Nice!
I applied fungicide yesterday morning and rain fell later in the evening. As I type this, it's raining again!

Do I need to reapply the fungicide?
If yes, at what day interval?

Shalom.

bozz can this be used for tomatoe, or potassium chloride us better.
.
Chloride is not so good for plants. Sulphates and Nitrates are better.

additive as in? It 13:0:46 potassium nitrates by jubaili.

Ok. I just want to make sure that it can be used for some chemistry experiments I have in mind.

Cucumber is not only commodity I grow, so I watch how it market tread. The best time to always plant is when seed is scarce and there is glut in market! Some farmers will hear cucumber is selling at the moment, next thing, they will plant 10-12 thousand stand just because they heard I plant just 3k stand, and I realize over 500k. When their cucumber is out, the price will be like 2.5k-3k, it get worse sometimes there will not be buyers for it.. more loading...
.
Nice info.

I think spray tube will be easier for him oo. So long as he irrigate in the morning or afternoon, he won't have serious problem with fungal diseases compare to rainy season.
.
Another advice I have for farmers that work under the sun is this: Go to an eye clinic and check the health of your eyes. Then buy photochromic eyeglasses. They protect your eyes from the sun's UV rays. This dangerous rays can lead to blindness, dry eyes etc as you get older. Also protect ur body with trousers, long sleeve shirt and a wide brim hat. The sun can cause cancer of the skin. Work mainly in the morning and evening.

Spray Tube might seem expensive for a starter.

If he has the strength to carry a Knapsack sprayer... That'll be the fine because the Nozzle has a direction.

Spraying in the Afternoon should be when the seeds has germinated already i guess because if you spray water on the soil... It might boil the seeds

Another harvest today..I took this picture earlier today, if a Gardner tell me he achieve 15-20 fruit per stand, no cap! I will believe because I know he will have the time to care for it. This is two stand and I had already harvested at least 4 fruit from each.

It's either early in the morning or late Afternoon or rather Evening

Applying Manure and Ssp in the middle of the beds just like the way of Applying Akara to Bread.

If you do this... Your Cukes will Thank you very well.

Farmerakinloye6 have you tried this out yet??

I posted about SSP fertlizer on a WhatsApp forum and I was challenged by the owner of the group that it was not relevant to cucumber. I couldn't believe my ears.
SSP fertlizer is the foundation for all crops as it has 20% phosphorus, 18% calcium and 11% sulphur.
I don't post much as I do formally due to a lot of ignorant folks online who think they know all about farming. We learn everyday.

My next cucumber must have 40 fruits by fire by force

Yes, watering in the afternoon isn't ideal not because it will cook the seeds but because the rate of evaporation will be so high and the plants might eventually not utilize the water... I hope this helps

If you can get a quality SSP Fertilizer, it's a great idea... But if you ain't sure of the quality, manure alone does the job for me
Re: My Cucumber Farm Dairy by Cedagrochemical(f): 7:12pm On Aug 23, 2021
Farmerakinloye6:
1. Contact Cedagrochemical, she has #9,500 for 1000 seed. 2. 1000seeds at 30cm. Cucumber on a plot of land is not a pilot project, for it to be successful you need some level of seriousness..use manure, stake, spray when you suppose to, prune, and apply fertilizer. If you want to do pilot maybe you should grow between 5-100 stand, 1,500 stand no be moimoi Good luck!

Thanks for your recommendation sir... Kudos to you for the great work you doing here

Look for parthenocarpic variety and the yield might even be more.

Lol. Imagine a cucumber plant above 12 weeks and still thriving and fruiting and bringing out new branches. It must be the additional nutrients from these fertlizers especially SSP and mop that is assisting.

I haven't allowed my Cukes to go beyond 10 weeks ooo

I saw some new fruits on three new bramches. I cut off the old branches which was drying up and the fruit count so far from that particular plant has been about 18 harvested.
I noticed a difference in taste between these seedless fruits compared to other seed variety. It's way better and a little saltier compared to most tasteless cucumbers I have eaten from the market. It could be the treatment they are receiving anyway.

Next planting with Diva F1 from east west should be in two weeks time. I don't want to run out of cucumbers/tomatoes ever at home again.
