The 70% of generated power loss is due to long distance transmission over substandard power infrastructure, power cables design, bad transformers, no protective devices, etc.

The rejection part I also understand, it like telling a distribution company to sell 20MW monthly when only 13MW can be sold, so there an accruing sales deficit of 7MW monthly.

You add both losses and the picture becomes clearer.
explain why 13MW can be sold when the supply is not 24 hours per day and 7 days a week.

If you have money, just invest in Solar. I did it and now have my peace of mind. Except that the solar cant power my sumo pumping machine and freezer and the power output declines once the whether is cloudy. But 99% of the time, I enjoy my uninterrupted clean energy and power.

The best way to teach this scammers and thieves called discos a big lesson is to boycott and stop paying their bills, but Nigerians will never unite and speak with one voice, I have been on generator for over a year in my area now since I refused to be connected to their grid to be paying crazy estimated bills as they are yet to supply me their meter. I keep saying this, if everybody act the way I acted, this nonsense they do will be a thing of the past

Did u know, there is a state capital in Nigeria with over 3 million people that's hasn't seen electricity since January this year?.....I kid u not grin....when my paddy told me, I was shocked....the whole stats capital woh...... Nigeria always finds a way to disappoint person

Get enough battery & panels....I am absolutely sure it can power freezers & ACs, don't know about pump machines though

I understand your point. But are these discos telling us they reject power because Nigerians have enough? Cos I don't just understand it. Even in areas whr they reject loads, customers are in darkness. So the rationale behind this still befuddles the mind.

Then you should be quiet if you have no answers to intelligent questions.
We are all angry about the power situation in Nigeria and we dont want to see dumb analysis used as preservatives of the epileptic power we consume.

Point of correction it's rejected and not lost ...The baffling thing is the FG pays for every MW rejected ...you can't make this up

They need to stop paying that and rather set a rejection quota allowance for each Discos and if they exceed it let them be fined

I have four 330W, Canadian panels and 2 giant 220v batteries. The battery cost now is expensive. Almost 160k for the type I am looking for

I still remember when in the not so distant past a member of this administration and some of their fans were celebrating the "absence of collapsing incidents of the national grid" when compared to the previous administration, but look at where we're today.

If the infrastructure in place can't transmit anything in the excess of 13MW, if you like supply disco 13000MW, all nah waste... That's if they can even receive it in the first instance.

The infrastructure can sell 13MW for how many hours per day in a week? Let us know to give room for other investors to come in.
