I had to pay o. Cos hotel billing nor be here. Make I just fit reach town go sleep my cousin side. Now the continued story. They brought the pump, fixed it and na so my steering still hard o. Omo out of frustration, I had to come to an agreement with the mechanic to manage it to my destination ND come back the next day for a fix. My rider's load was still in the car. So I was able to manage it to destination and later discovered that even my water for radiator don dey leak. Problem number 2, I have to fix the radiator (bought a brand new double cell) first here in town before I can take the car back for the steering pump to be changed. The past few days have been hectic. Make God dey help him son
Was it timing belt you changed

If yes you need a new water pump too

Using pepper spray on lasg official will get you locked up for sure

And of course they know what they are doing is wrong, but they don't care, they know you can't do anything. Ambode brought sanity to Lagos roads for four years but unfortunately the junkies are back in charge
Is it towing van they will use to pursue corolla?

For the records, I don't believe your story.

Selah...
Do u think Cheerfulgiver is the highest earner in Bolt?
Or the only one making 150k every week??
It really amazes me when u say u have been in this business for the number of years u claim and still display this level of ignorance and naivety.
It's one thing not to be able to do it...that's understandable. What really annoys me is when u say it is not possible and u think u know what u r saying when infact what you are saying is erroneous and misleading. Even worse is your unwillingness to accept it, even when u see proof u will conjure excuses, or make up all the evil things that will go wrong to d person or his car.
I can show you a picture of Bolt highest earners in 2019 and 2020. Some back to back winners are there, there are lekpa, chubby and heavy people there. They aren't dead or gravely ill, we are still in thesame WhatsApp group interacting and sharing tips. I can display dashboard just to convince u it can be done consistently, I can meet with u so u see I don't have pot belly, pile or lost my sight. But guess what I don't have to proof anything to u again. I made u believe 100k net is doable without killing urself, I don't have the strength now to convince u that 150k is doable.
Hope u notice the only time we quarrel is when u post false Information. I don't have a problem with any bodies work habit or style. But just keep it personal, don't generalize.
Since that time I just dey see road back to back trips ( I will mark some part of somolu as no go area damn , my low Camry don scratch )

Your mind is being sharpened with these experiences.

I thank God you escaped.

Never ever park on the road for anything. Even if your rider says he's on the road, look for a safe place to park. Always have that in mind.

Also, always central lock your car. Get used to it. Somebody comes down, lock. Someone enters, lock. Always lock, lock, lock grin

Lastly, learn to use your side mirrors all the time. Be vigilant. Always look out for any danfo or korope lurking behind when you want to park.

Above all, pray to your God not to let these people see you. Their wahala too much grin[/color]
In addition, as you're driving be very very observant, if there's a local government or lcda secretariat close by, be extra careful about where u stop. If you notice tow trucks around, be very careful where you stop. If you notice uniforms or local govt reflective vest/polo-wearing touts around the area... You know the drill.
If you're entering a street, check for one way signs, if there's none, take note of the direction most cars are facing whether moving or parked cars. Don't be afraid to tell your rider you can't stop or pass a certain place.
You'll be fine

Guys please help me with this issue

I had a trip today to lekki, and when we got to the destination the rider told me to wait and then we now headed to ikoyi.

I was shocked when I saw that the bill was just N1,500, why?

Did bolt not calculate the second trip?

Or should I have ended the first trip and started another trip?

I’m soooooo confused
Always end the first trip. Always!

Or ask Rider to update their destination from their app

My oga I was thinking enh... Don't you think it's time the mod closes this thread and make part2 of it because the rate at which newbies are coming up with repeated questions that have severally been attended to it will make you wonder the volume of research they'll have to go through before getting an answer to their questions. For this fact I just thought it will be wise to close this very one and then start a fresh one with part2 so that a new era can commence because most of the monikers are not even active anymore and again a newbie can go quote a post made 2/3yrs ago without even knowing it's long gone.

What do you guys think about this?

U r getting me wrong ooo grin ... We r talking specifically about Toyota Corolla 2008/09 AC compressor. Not generally on all manufacturer specifications.
The automatic compressor is a technological improvement, instead of the ac to be working continuously non stop, it will regulate automatically based on cabin temperature, on the other hand a manual compressor just continues to blow until u shut it off or reduce d fan speed.
Therefore whether u use automatic or manual compressor, both will work just fine. We have advised it will have effect in d long term on the engine but asides that, it will work alright.
It is d auto compressor that is d improvement on the manual compressor.
The logical thinking here is that .. If the manufacture build the compressor to be manual .. The engine design and components will be design to accommodate the manual compressor......

Now the Nigeria way , converting what was meant for automatic to manual.. The Nigerian mechanic will likely built, wire and construct additional component to convert or forcefully to manual.. Whatever the case may be something is constructed ...........

And me personally I don't like that .............

So today I parked my car at a the end of a bustop on ozumba, clearly away from oncoming traffic and even away from buses trying to use the bustop. I had pulled over to check my engine, so the hood was up.

Next thing I know, one lasma guy from nowhere came to my back and said “bros lemme talk to you”, I said okay, but I briefly looked back, that’s how I saw tow truck reversing towards my car.

Since 1 + 1 = 2, I figured they were trying to tow my vehicle, so I ran back to the car, put my hood down and entered the car. That’s how the tow guy too was trying to enter my car, omo, the way I zoomed off ehn. Plus my hand was already on my pepper spray in case he made it in, I would have knacked him 2 sprays right in the eye balls.

I just don’t know how it became illegal to troubleshoot your car on the road when it has car issues. I am all for law and order, but haba! So if it was a serious car problem, is that how they will just come tow my car, instead of offering assistance? Naija is the most useless country known to man.
Same thing happened to me last week.
Dropped rider in dolphin estate closing hours so everywhere stew drove out of dolphin to go position inside red hot stew na so, I saw on my dashboard that my tyre pressure is going down, for where, I must not stop cos of stew.
By the time I turned at that sharp bend tyre was already touching rim. Parked properly by the side of road, my double hazard light on and brought out my C-caution. I don’t want to waste time changing tyre so I dash to mechanic workshop at the corner. As I was trying to explain to them that I’m looking for Vulcanizer my tyre is flat. Two of them cut me short and started shouting they will tow your car ... me still trying to talk...
They will tow your car o, we dey tell you ...
Go carry your car .... go there go and drive it here. I said no now, C-caution , hazard light.
The guy shouted at me like his son to stop speaking English and go move my car before I pay 25k.
(25k ring for my head “my weekly net be dt” for wetin... Na so I jappa)
I had to go drive it like that ooh.
Then they sat me down and told me different stories.

It’s only in nigeria dt you will disobey traffic rules - tow your car
Your car breaks down - tow your car
Your miss your way and end up in one way - tow your car.
So annoying msheeewww

So that means one can now shuffle his incoming trip requests to be within just the island on Uber? Or it's only open to Moove drivers alone?
They are the one testing the new uberGo, they are only working within Ikoyi, Maroko (I guess VI and Oniru) and Lekki Phase 1. They won’t get trips outside that radius. Hope you understand now.

Heaven knows I tried but they overpowered me and towed the car to their office. I paid N25k after calling army to come and help me settle the issue.

Time and distance will keep reading until u end the trip irrespective of what rider sets.
But your ants drivers won’t agree, they still look for ways to scam. Not knowing say we dey dsame hustle.

It's not advisable to buy tokunbo automatic compressor, he has to go for original brand new and that is more than X4 the cost of tokunbo manual compressor which can easily be gotten in ladipo. Hence, I said if he can't find it or can't afford it, he should manage the manual compressor no harm done.

And how about the thermostat or relay cutter the re-wire installs? Bro leave o Nigeria kazeem too are trying let's give them so credits... We all know these things but due to our poverty rate in the country an average Nigeria looks for way to cut down expenses even though its detrimental in the long run but at least it solves the problem at hand first. A good AC tech knows how to make the manual stop pumping and then picks up after some time again, I've seen it worked and have had it done on my car b4.

Braaaaah!

Say it isn’t so!

That is daylight robbery men, how can they tow a vehicle in trouble, not as if they are towing to your mechanic for you, but they are towing you as an offender.

Gosh, everyday, I hate Nigeria more.

What were you supposed to do? Like ensure that your car never ever ever breaks down while driving? Who can guarantee that? Not even Elon can guarantee that as some Tesla’s have broken down while driving.
They said I was obstructing traffic on a highway. Imagine. I cleared well oh. They told me next time my car breaks down on the highway i should call tow truck to tow me to the service lane before I even start seeking solution to my problem.

I asked them that since they’ve confirmed that my car is broken down why don’t they just kuku tow me to the service lane themselves but they didn’t agree.

They told me that whenever their tow truck hitches any vehicle the next destination for it must be their yard. Na so I take reach their office.

Even after I paid their fine they allowed me to call mechanic to come and repair the gear cable right there in their yard before I could drive away. They didn’t deflate my tires because they knew the car couldn’t move. They left me with the keys self.

That day I just weak for Lagos and it’s wahala

Nothing should left out of the party grin manufacture did not designs things to be left out the party grin..... Bottom line let him stick to the automatic compressor .. The system was design for automatic compressor......

Yes ideally a new compressor should be replace .. Depending on the car price range can be roughly between $200 to $500 without labour.......

Now since brand new is expensive ... If he wanted which I have done myself.. I can get a neatly use from eBay with low miles and he is good to go.......

Simple as 1,2,3 .....And he will not have to worry about the wear and tear to his engine........

At the end of the day .. A very well qualified and train technician will advice against it .. And advice getting a brand new 1 ... Or better yet worse comes to worse will say get a fairly used with A grade.......

Since you are not in the business of parts.. Most of these used parts sold do have a 6months to 1 year warranty on it .......

Once these parts are taken out from accidental cars. The parts usually will be tested to make sure it will work well wink I buy used parts alot for my client ......

Whenever the young man is ready .. I will help him source for good compressor.. And he will not have to worry about wear and tear of his engine .. Or better yet worry about is car vibrating grin
