Hello all,Can a parent of a Canadian toddler use the child as a basis to expedite a pending TRV with IRCC. A trip had been planned before Covid and Covid came and messed things up. Now, how can that application be expedited? Any ideas using the Child as a Nexus being a family member. Thanks

Apply now. Nobody will ask the size of your house. What matters is your status and proof of fund you can take care of them.

Hi Everyone,

I'm about applying for a visit visa for my mum/dad to visit this December to offer emotional support as I'm expecting and they'll be staying with me.

Note that I live in a 1bedroom but moving to a 2bedroom 1 Sept as my lease ends August 31st. Pls will they need to update proof of accommodation (mine) in their application and if yes, will my living in a 1bed be a red flag? Or do I wait till I sign a new lease for a 2bedroom before proceeding? Planned to start asap considering processing delays. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

I have a study permit and want to apply for my mum to come with me and my kids. Please do you think they would prioritize my mother's application because i need her to help me with my kids while i settle in.

Thank you.

Sicaron:
Please I applied for Visitor's visa and sent the web form to prioritize my application. I got this request letter and my status has been showing pending. I am confused as to what exactly the request is as the letter is unclear

Congratulations. This a great news! How did you apply for compassionate grounds?

PPR Alert

We applied for visiting visa for my husband and baby in June, and afterwards applied for prioritization. The response was that he was not eligible for exemption to travel.

We kept hope alive, and applied for entry via compassionate grounds. First application was denied due to filling an outdated form. Second application was approved within 24 hours.

We sent the approval to IRCC using the travel exemption link, and we got approved in one week (Aug).

My mom is set to apply for her canada pr. She has me and my junior sister in all her documents as her only 2children, no family member with her in ontario Canada where she stays. She works and stays alone.

I will clock 29years this December which I think makes me above the age of been a dependent child.

Her worries now is how to get me and my other sibling to Canada.

Please is there anyway or pathway to migrate to join her as am still battling with this ielts stuff??!

I even asked her if there's anyway she can process me to get a pr as she has already declared me and my sister has the only children and family member she has.

Please, any way or pathway even if na visitation sef??

The only way she can easily help you now is to secure a job offer for you in Canada.

You will work for a minimum of one year and process your PR yourself.

Another option is Express Entry/PNP
You will claim points for having a relative in Canada in your Express Entry profile.

Saskatchewan and Manitoba gives nominations to Express entry candidates with relatives that are PRs in their provinces...

Was yours based on pregnancy?

I booked an appointment with my doctor but the doctor refused to sign the PHAC letter as he said mental health is not a ground to need care.

Mami1:
I gave a medical doctor in my school the letter of required support form to help fill.

After that, my hubby submitted the filled form to PHAC.

Well, I was feeling lonely and depressed. And the Doctor in my student health clinic found that worthy of care and support from my husband and my baby. I hope this helps.

Mental health is a serious issue!

Be careful guys what you put on your medical records. They don't just go away; they outlive you in most cases.

Yes, you were able to find a doctor that was willing to cut corners but you dont know what he/she wrote on your medical file.

Yes you got what you wanted now ( the process probably saved you 1 or 2 months of waiting) but you don't know what the future holds. Something might happen in the future and then you wish you never had mental health/depression on your medical history. I am just saying; not wishing you bad.

Yeah your medical history is confidential and you're protected by the privacy act but there are situations were it can be released to other agencies, to a judge/Attorney, to law enforcement etc
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Nobody: 8:26am On Aug 18, 2021
I understand where you are coming from. But your stand point of cutting corners is so unnecessary. Like, A medical professional has assessed the situation with facts. She wasn't willing to cut corners, I didn't cut corners.

Thank you.

Don't get me wrong. I didn't say you cut corners, what i am saying is that the Dr. probably didn't follow medical diagnostic procedures before she signed off on that form; except she has been treating you for depression ( I am not a medical doctor though). She saw someone who needed help and she was sympathetic and willing to help. But then, something has to be written on your medical file to justify her signature.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by tessytessy(f): 7:06pm On Aug 18, 2021
Yeah, i get what you mean.

The doctor almost said that much, i just decided to abandon the process. I will wait it out. But again it depends on what the doctor wrote for OP. If it was just she is lonely and causing depression and needs the support of her husband, i guess no harm, as depression can be temporary.

Good evening.

Please I just want to have an idea of how long more we're going to wait before the tourist visas can be out. Is it still September 7 or after? I just want to have an idea.

Thanks

Not necessarily, my MIL got her visa without travel history. You just have to prove you have ties in Nigeria, properties/job things like that.

I guess he or she had someone in Canada who sent him or her invitation letter. It is extremely difficult to get Canada Tourist visa without Travel history and Invitation.
