I recently had a chat with an APC party chairman from one of the states in Igboland, and his views set off my alarm bells!

Firstly, the man stoutly refused to acknowledge that there is a problem with Fulani open grazing (hence associated killings) in Igboland.

He never accepted that cows roaming the forests and farms in Igboland are owned by Fulani. He said that they are all owned by wealthy Igbo who hired Fulani herders to take care of them.

When I confronted him with cases of killings in Enugu, Ebonyi and parts of Anambra blamed on the herders, he still maintained his views.

Since he kept denying the threats from herdsmen on Igboland, I decided to ask him about herdsmen killings outside of Igboland, like Plateau, Benue, Southern Kaduna, and Niger.

He acknowledged those cases, but then strangely twisted his views to say that all those "middle belt people" deserve what they are getting from the Fulani because, according to him, they are "very foolish people"!

The man believes that Buhari is the best president Nigeria ever had.

Then I remembered that he boasted that APC will take over Anambra in November, and asked him how he came to that conclusion, knowing that Anambra is a strong APGA and PDP state. He merely smiled and told me to watch and see!

Umunne m, imagine this type of a man becoming a governor, senator, or a member of house of reps!

This man's views allowed me a peek into the minds of the APC political office holders in Igboland.

How come it is only APC politicians in Igboland that refuse to see what is threatening the region?

Are they the only Nigerian politicians in Igboland?

Why are they the most insensitive to the plights of their people?

It is very clear that APC in Igboland is populated by people who care more about money than anything else.

the most dangerous people anywhere are those with ambition, those that want riches and power, they sell anybody to achieve this and this is why southerners will never be able to counter the northerners at the right time cos we are too ambitious, from yoruba to igbo to isekiri to ijaw..it is our major problem and our demise

Why do you always try to bring tribal sentiment into everything? We have bad Igbo people. We have bad Yoruba people. We have bad Southerners. But, how does the badness of all these people exonerate Buhari from the serial killing of Nigerians by his kinsmen and under his supervision? So, why are you saying that Buhari is not guilty of anything happening to the Igbos? Be careful because even what you say on NL can be used against you at the Judgment. Defend a murderer and get a murderer's judgment. Nawa for Nigerians.

Another lies from the pdp and ipob. You igbos deserve the best in other people land but you hate other surviving in your land. The family of Fulani that was killed had a house, a ranch and still ipob killed 12 of them. Fulani that you call animals are yet to retaliate, who is the animal now?

All the killings in igbo land is exaggerated, its communal class and violent crime among igbos not Fulani.

An elderly woman identified simply as Anna has been killed by suspected herdsmen barely two months after the same fate befell her daughter and son-in-law.

Anna was among the eight people killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen at Okpokwu Mgbuji community in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, on Sunday.

It was gathered that Anna had recently buried her daughter, Chinyere Ede and son-in-law, Japhet Ede, who were killed in an earlier attack carried out by herdsmen in the community.

The couple were killed alongside two others on May 27, 2021, at Okpokwu Mgbuji and were laid to rest on July 22.

Trouble reportedly started when the herders were stopped from cutting down an economic tree to feed their cattle. The interruption led to heated arguments between the community members and the herders.

It was further learnt that the community members succeeded in pursuing the Fulani herders and their cattle from further destruction of the economic tree.

However, the herders later re-grouped in a calculated revenge mission, and attacked the community, killing several people.

Meanwhile, in an earlier report, Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Eha-Amufu, Rt Rev Daniel Nkemjika Olinya, had explained what transpired to Daily Sun.

He registered his concerns that herdsmen attacks in farm settlements in the affected Mgbuji community and its neighbours had been on the rise and the government had not done enough to end the attacks.

"This is the third time the armed herdsmen are invading the Mgbuji community this year, aside from indiscriminate kidnappings which we have lost count of. Most of the time, they invade the community, kidnap and kill the victims, many of them. The last attack before this Sunday’s attack led to the death of six people. Five of them have not been buried and, now they came again this time and killed eight persons," he said.

You open a topic like this and you expect it not to be invaded by crackpots who hate Igbos and believe that the best way to defend Buhari is to attack and ridicule anything Igbo?

My dear, nairaland has been overrun by demented anti-Igbo people who appear to be detached from reality and also from their brains. They have multiple monikers, especially masquerading as fake Niger Delta or fake Igbo people, to start phantom arguments between these fake Igbo and fake Niger Delta people, so as to lure gullible people into extending such arguments.

There is Nigeria (a real place with real issues) then there is Nairaland where certain demented souls believe that the views espoused here are a representation of what is happening in real Nigeria. Huge lie! Nigeria and Nairaland are like parallel lines that will never meet.

Most times I just readthe headlines and ignore the hellish comments because, 100% you CANNOT be sure of the identity or real ethnicity of "supposed" Igbo or Niger Delta, or any other tribe for that matter. Anything other than the topic na cruise or self-service fodder from ethnic split personality psychopathic bigots.

Even you sef, one cannot be sure of which ethnicity your are because these people are very twisted and very dangerous, and are prepared to patiently nature a fake moniker for months before striking and using it for its true intention.

Unlike some other people you can easily distract and deceive with lies, Igbos are a very conscious people with great perception. We are way ahead of your fulani capabilities. Any fulani attacks against Igboland will be hit back. Irrespective of the few communal fracas that may occur in some areas, we all know fulani attacks and will give them the necessary attention they require.

you shouldn't have gone party line with this, I you ask a pdp member this same question he won't be sincere with you say things to paint his party good.

You know them. You have read them sooooo well. They're all operating from a dingy room claiming "We The Niger Delta" because of their fear of loosing cheap Oil money if anything happens to Nigeria, since all their billionaires are nothing but Oil thieves... Impostors in every thread here and ttey are relentless in their warped efforts.
The new one is to claim they are northerners masquerading as Yorubas to cause devide and rule between the South. Lie! They are mostly Yorubas. Follow their posts and find the trail..

Them no born them well to retaliate ...igbos are not middle belt ...that would be end of Nigeria

It is very clear that APC in Igboland is populated by people who care more about money than anything else.

you are a cow dung. your problem is staring at you in the face yet you conjure imaginary once as issues. IPOB is the major problem in the SE, not herdsmen. IPOB members would dress as herdsmen, attack a farm, village, clan etc, just to frighten the populace and make them believe that they are insecure then they would go back and act as if they are pursuing the herdsmen. if you say herdsmen is a challenge and I say this is false, then show us how many herdsmen have been killed. in Ebonyi, it is effium and ezza that are killing each other not herdsmen. where are the herdsmen where do they go after the attack. let me stop here for now.

APC is a pro Fulani party with Jajaweedian ideology and once you join them your political views will have to change not just Igbo politicians.
Don't expect Ayade to criticize Fulani herdsmen openly.
Tinubu even asked 'where are the cows' when a prominent Yoruba leader lost his daughter in the hands of the killer herdsmen.
Ortom is doing what he is doing today because he is in PDP.
