They're all game changers in their respective ways:

Blade (1998), X-Men (2000) & Spider-Man (2002) made superhero movies a big deal in Hollywood. Prior to these films, the superhero film genre wasnt respected and the CBM industry wasn't the behemoth it is today. Spider-Man broke many records at the box office the year it came out. A superhero movie making dough like that was unheard of in the 2000s.

Iron Man paved way for the biggest film franchise in Hollywood - the MCU.

The Dark Knight was cinematic gold that proved that superhero movies can be dark, brutal and mature. Before then, most well-known CBMs were more campy and safe. It was also worshipped by critics.

The Avengers was the first of it's kind in cinema - an ensemble of superheroes in one film - most of whom were treated to blockbuster solo films prior.
