How has this so called repentance reduced the rate of insurgency and banditry being experienced in the North? The formula is more like the rate of repentance of the insurgents is directly proportional to the rate of killings and mayhem being unleashed on the populace. How has these repented folks not been able to provide Intels that will lead to the capture of their leaders and sponsors? Why are more women and children the highest among those who repented? While I salue the gallant effort of our brave soldiers in tackling this menace I think there is more in this that meets the eye. |

Foolish govament, those people have plans. They want to , infiltrate the masses,Hibernate and re-strategize for 2022 even when they will be coming Southward. They should be in Jail for Trial till when tactically eliminated in the prison. South need to get armed and prepared. We may be shocked |

Anigreat:It is embarrassment to ur education and a big sign of ridiculous nature of u, that u believe every fake news feed into ur head on pulpits & congregations. How on earth can Nigeria, Borno people allow BH members to be recruited into army? Where has it happened? How can u prove it? In a such as other arm militia groups in Nigeria have people from amidst them recruited into army then why not innocent people of North-East? Nigerian army put all successful recruitment candidates under intensive background check within the period of training and if someone found guilty of any crime in the past which contradict their recruitment guidelines, they either arrest that person for prosecution or suspend him depending on the gravity of his past offence. All those alleging pampering of BH are deeply ignorant of UN organisation chatter's rules of engagement (RoE); how do u want surrendered terrorists to be treated? Was it not ur demigod US that suggested this as a solution to the unending war? Even in stone age, the surrendered enemies are caught as prisoners not getting killed. In our case, the war is eating more than 1/4 of our National budget, the war isn't ending and many of our troops are loosing their lives, so do u want govt to refuse amnesty and rehabilitation of the surrendered terrorists just because ur ideology is driven by religious bigotry while we once did it in the past? You need to re-read history of BH insurgency and know how more than 100k were killed, do u drive joy in this bloodshed? I wonder how can youths claiming to be leaders of tomorrow be such stupid in their reasoning and poor knowledge of governance? ![]() |

Boko Haram does not need amnesty, they all need a bullet to the skull. How will terrorists who killed, raped and destroyed for decades be given a slap on the wrist for it? You only remember human rights and United nations treaties when Arewa terrorists are concerned, but rejoice at the bloodshed of southern youths. You forgot that even in war many of the enemy leaders who committed crimes against humanity were executed. In Nigeria the punishment for even one of such crimes is death, if they were cultists they would all receive death penalties, why are we setting these bastards free? Continue to deceive yourselves, at least its the North that is suffering the majority of it's own foolishness. |

Theunbothered:Mind the ones sending the few officers in NPF from ur region into extinction. Nobody is depending crime or criminality, I don't talk about human right here, I'm just talking abt the importance of ending the seemingly unending war. If all cultist are to be killed some regions would've few youths left. This fight against BH is still ongoing and it will keep going until they're either killed or surrendered! |

It means those they surrendered to are their sponsors and/or agents of their sponsors. It means evil is ongoing coordinated by the chief executive terrorist of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari. |

BafanaBafana:If these fighters know they'll be killed or maltreated if they surrender, they are therefore prepared to fight till they're killed. It's to prevent such is why there's an amnesty. People don't seem to realize that. |
| Re: What Recent Surrender Of Boko Haram Members Means For Nigeria’s Fight by Theunbothered: 11:52am On Aug 30, 2021 |
Coronabirus:But this is not ending the war, this is just a massive distraction, the insurgency has spread all over the country in the form of ''banditry''. Zulum has said the repentant Boko boys spy and when they get bored return to continue killing again. Letting the small fish go and leaving their main sponsors won't do anything but let's continue deceiving ourselves. |
