Senoiret: BSF: Two dullards, lol. Later you will type that Buhari is a dullard. Do you take bombs to a knife fight? The war is against terrorists, bandits, militants, etc. You don't need f-35, f-15, b2 bomber, global hawk and other fancy toys for that. You buy the right toys for the right reasons. You guys need to update your common sense. 3 Likes 1 Share |

JerkyChan:Mayb he meant the F35..., F-22 Raptor.....but seriously, those tucano will hardly dodge a ground to air missiles talkless of an air to air missiles...... Well from what i know, the Tucano jet has an 80% air to ground combat which i think will be good to fight our bubu boy's unless our bubu boy's also got a well sophisticated ground to air missiles like their Taliban brother's or some powerful jet's. 1 Like |

IbileIfe:You people are ignorant....the money is for buying the Jets, training the pilots and engineers, buying spare parts, missiles and munitions and also upgrading the Kainji air Base....read before you speak at least....US might decide to make Nigeria pay more, they are jets that worth over $300m....when you don't have technology to build these arms and aircrafts you buy them very expensive....the money you see on Wikipedia aren't the actual price of these stuff....they are not sold to everybody so their prices aren't fixed...get this |

VicM6: The Tucs aren’t meant for dogfight. I’m sure they will do just fine in their COIN and CAS role. Every aircraft is designed for specific roles. Even the f35 is a terrible dogfighter, but it has stealth capability of taking out the enemy before it’s even aware of its presence 1 Like |

5. GBU-12/58 Paveway II (PW-II) Tailkits: 500-lb (GBU-12) and 250-lb (GBU-58) are laser-guided ballistic bombs (LGBs) developed by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. The LGB is a maneuverable, free-fall weapon that guides to a spot of laser energy reflected off of the target. The LGB is delivered like a normal general purpose (GP) warhead and the semi-active guidance corrects for many of the normal errors inherent in any delivery system. Laser designation for the weapon can be provided by a variety of laser target markers or designators. The tailkit consists of a laser guidance kit, a computer control group (CCG) and a warhead specific Air Foil Group (AFG), that attach to the nose and tail of MK 81 and MK 82 General Purpose (GP) bomb bodies to create an LGB. This sale includes the tailkits to transform Nigeria's existing 500-lb and 250-lb GP bomb bodies into GBU-12s and GBU-58s respectively. Nigeria is also buying additional GBU-58s, 250-lb (MK-81) guided bombs. The overall weapon is CONFIDENTIAL. This is the best fighter in the world, the F-35 dropping the latest precision guided GBU bomb, same bomb that we ar getting with our Tucano, Nigeria is now all about precision and laser guided munitions. God Bless PMB..
