Most of you keep mistaking this dude as a son of the immediate past Olu. He is actually the son of the 19th Olu. 6 Likes |

delzbaba: Do you know that the first king of warri is a generational son of one of the king of Benin, while the first king of Benin is called Ewaka 1, Ewaka dad is called Oranmiyan the 7th son of Okani, while Okani is the only son of Oduduwa. By the way, Oduduwa dad is called Lamurudu. Now you see how Benin, warri and yorubas are related. 10 Likes 1 Share |

cbrass: Ok, do me a favour. Check the bronze head of the first king of warri (Ginuwa) and compare the face with the previous king (Ikenwoli I Godfery Emiko) of warri. By the way, Ginuwa is a son of Olua. Olua is one of the past king in Benin. 2 Likes |

FMAKJ:Please don't get me wrong o. Itsekiri is 95% Yoruba. Even the Royal family that came from Bini, in fact the royal family is still a combination of Ife and bini. So you are right on that one but the story of oduduwa uou wrote is not the true one, in fact Oduduwas children are so many, he also gave birth to females too. One of them is the mother of the founder of Iwo in Osun srate 4 Likes |

cbrass: It was Okani the son of Oduduwa that has Eight children. Oranmiyan is the number 7 while Ooni is the number 8 via a slave woman and Ooni became the king after Okani passed away. Oranmiyan then went to Oyo and found Oyo. |

Becareful, many have gone. don't allow youthful exuberance to let you do things anyhow. Amongst these are some good ones. Take your time to act and let God lead you in the right direction as you journey through you your reign. 2 Likes |

cbrass: It is. The people of Bini may not be Yorubas (although there's a shared history, however that's not the point here), but the kings were by blood. This was evident in the culture, rights and language of court being Yoruba. https://www.jstor.org/stable/40465021 It is just as the blood line of the English throne is German. The House of Windsor is the reigning royal house of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. In 1901, the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (a branch of the House of Wettin) succeeded the House of Hanover to the British monarchy with the accession of King Edward VII, son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. In 1917, the name of the royal house was changed from the anglicised German Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to the English Windsor because of anti-German sentiment in the United Kingdom during World War I. https://doi.org/10.1111%2F1467-954X.00200 Note that I have neither claimed Yoruba ownership of Benin nor it's current Kings, all that is history as neither the English throne nor the German people lay any particular emphasis on the German origins of the throne anymore. |
