Im good o. Ive decided to settle down, haha, they're here for you.

This country speaks Gaelic, I'm sure youve heard Enya sing, that's the real Irish language. Due to the influence of the British, the language is dying, just like Igbo. You'll only hear them speak Gaelic in the Countryside or village as we will like to call it.

Here in Dublin, I've never heard anyone speak it fluently, I only hear it in the Bus Whisper, after they mention the location in English, they repeat it in Gaelic, the government has launched various program to boost the language. It's being taught in schools, transition programs to get into higher tier of government and so on. Every Irish in town at least knows snippets of the language, just like I know little of my Nigerian dialect. Chair, go, come, bus stop.... you need to hear the Gaelic Whisper in the Bus, so cute.
Great! You've settled down? Are you married? If yes congrats.

Scholarship in Ireland

At the moment, theres no full blown scholarship for masters. What we have for masters is just a discount directly from the institution you're applying to. They would deduct it from your fees. In my own case, €1000. The fees in comparison to USA isn't very high also.

Im well aware of very good scholarships for PhD, depending on the interest in big firms in your chosen Field of research. These companies see potential in your research especially if they would benefit from the findings...
If you're interested in scholarships, the link below is a must have.

https:///scholarship365

PS the link doesn't appear as it should be, hence the need to check the Telegram group.

There's dietitian, nutritionist, engineers, quality assurance, social care for those with Sociology, Psychology, Occupational therapy, nurses, doctor, health care assistants....all those jobs that are in the sciences are very hot cake here. These are the jobs that have prospects in only teaching after studies in Nigeria. Currently theres employment permit for these now.

I would say Data Analytics, if you don't have background in Programming and computer science, I'll prefer you go towards other field like Cloud computing, Software development, big money in Network engineering....

Encourage your family and friends to install telegram in case of emergencies, I mostly reach my parents on Whatsapp, its super cheap, with 4G network, the call is seamless. Except when it's raining.
This Zuckerberg of a person. I'm sure he's got his eyes on owning Twitter, Tiktok and Telegram. And this seriously disgust me alot. Monopoly at it's Prime. This spells alot of of doom if this fellow owns Google.

Ive been getting educated about The Real problem of poverty in the world, I'm highly disgusted at the sight of greed and inequality. I also disgusted I spent four years at the university, studied Economics, was a high flying student with a GPA of 4.72 first year. Till my eyes opened when I was in my second year. It didn't open fully. But the little I saw, it made me to stop reading as if my life depended on it. If my exam was at 5pm, I'll start reading 8AM after a delicious breakfast. I ended up getting a pass mark, CGPA fell till I graduated. It was 3.47 on grad day. I wasn't bothered at all.

If I knew what I knew today, I'll be so disgusted that I might drop out. I got to discover that I was conditioned to think the Capitalist Economic system is the ideal system, that the only way an economy can flourish is through greed and self interest. Infact I was made to study Adam Smith as if my life depended on it. Adam made the contribution that was ideal during his time, but now, he should be regarded as a Demon. What he said then was to only pay worker's the bare minimum that can cover their daily expense and keep the rest to be used for expansion, and Research and development. We all know that's not true. Real capitalist will never pay the living wage. The living wage is the income way above the cost of living that even after you've settled your expenses, you can still save and invest, have enough to go on holiday, and be able to spend in times of Emergency.

The working class comprise of at least 90% of the economy, without them, the whole system will come to a standstill. It will make sense for them to have majority of the wealth. That's not so today. 80% of the wealth is owned by the top 20%. Everyone can't be a celeb, we can't all be CEOs, we can't all be billionaires. We can't all be on BBN. Even though I don't watch it, I like how it churns out celebs, haha.

Most of my Economics textbooks books were written by a Capitalist nation, the Great American, fueled with greed, its no wonder why my books were filled with their propagandas. When I think about what they did to Libya, Iraq, Vietnam and so on. Just for Oil and resources, it's just Gory. And they hold themselves high in movies, telling us that other countries are the only one that's bad, Russia and China, they're evil too, I like how they work to ensure a Balance of Power.
Then USA will chant God Bless America. Scam.

If you have maids, driver and gate man at home and pay them less than fifty thousand naira, you're part of the problem, talk of other vocation. 30k is the minimum wage but it's not the living wage, the cost of living is now more than twice what it was when I left Nigeria in Jan 2021.

Some bosses will even slash out of the 20k just because the working class came some minutes late. So they'll pocket the deduction and use it for luxurious items while the working class only needs the money for food and substinence. The money will be going to the road side market women who are being exploited by Tinubu boys.

If you dont believe the working class matters. The UK left the EU, HGV drivers which are mostly foreigners that driver trailers and tankers went back to their countries, the wage is usually very small that's why UK citizens are not attracted to the job. Do you believe some stores ran out of groceries, fuel became scarce and the Army had to be sent out to supply these items. The recruiters has almost doubled the salary way more than the living wage.

Capitalism is everywhere, from the small business man to the church. It's normal for you to see ushers not getting a dime from the proceeds of the offerings and tithe. Rather the church will only pay to attract musicians and instrumentalists. Ushers will stand till their leg start shaking and shoes open. I was in the front seat in church one morning, when the usher in front guarding one of the top five GOs in Nigeria. He fell down suddenly out of exhaustion, what makes you think he doesn't deserve to be paid. The next time you see your pastor in a luxurious SUV, with other convoys if exotic vehicles, while the lowest wrung in the church ladder is thinking with his crocodile shoe, about how he will get his next meal. Just know it's capitalism at work.

Bishop Oyedepo as rich as he was couldn't afford to pay 50k to maintain a church in the rural part, just because he wasn't productive enough. he makes millions from other branch, why couldn't he do it fot that branch if he's truly trying to only spread to gospel. Okay, this branch isn't doing well, let it be Charity for the community rather than cutting the pastor head off. This is evil.

The only key to the world problem is Equality and Socialism. Equal distribution of income. Socialist policy for Ireland supports higher minimum wage of €15 an hour, free bus and train, women and minority right and representation, free health care, affordable housing, state pension....
Out of the above which one does Nigeria have
Even the minimum wage is still a hassle. Two years ago, one woman approached me to teach in her school, and was offering me 15,000. I was shocked, I wanted to ask her if she reads the newspaper and knows the minimum wage....

If Nigeria was Socialist, I don't think I'll be in Ireland.

You know what you'll do, check the employment permit list for Ireland, it has to be on the eligible list, find a master's course and study, you'll do yourself alot of good. Science background course are hit cake here. Studying data analytics is for people whos course isn't a STEM course. I'll update you guys, some Non stem courses are now available for employment permit, I mentioned them some days ago.

Educate people around you, start various discussions, corruption is ideal in a capitalist economic system. Socialist system will ensure that you can afford a car even while you polish shoes for a living. While you'll barely be able to feed yourself if you teach in a school in Nigeria.

In an ideal society, Women, men, those who are able in other ways I won't call them Disabled or invalid, they get jobs in Ireland, everyone - which means white and non white should be included in governance of church.

It's better I change your orientation because I know most of you will end up settling outside Nigeria, just incase you see two men or two women kissing, you won't break bottle on their head and end up in prison.

Homophobia is real, fear of women power is also real. Look at Germany, look at the amazing thing Angela Merkel has done, without her, there wont be an European Union. Do you know the first person that invented minimum wage policy was a woman. How can you be paying someone €1 per hour when cost of food for the day is more than €5. These are critical discussion that's needed. Women often introduce heart to policies, men are just goal oriented, too much of either side is not balanced. Yin Yan. Margaret Thatcher is an example of when women are forced to be rigid for a role. Extremely Cold

I finally have good news. Been waiting for this to be honest.
Been hoping to meet or know someone who applied for a job all the way from Nigeria and got it, got an employment visa without the need to study here and pay huge tuition fees. It's huge cos EU students have their fee which is usually half or less than half depending on the course and institution.
A fellow reached out to me a year ago about assisting with information for NMBI registration. I always respond to any message I get. I told him that was the first time Im hearing about it. I gave him the little advice I could think of. He reached out to me few days ago, that he's gotten two jobs though not in the Republic of Ireland but In Northern Ireland, I wrote stuffs about it already. He also go another offer from an hospital in the UK. He's in a dilemma now.
Cambridge University Hospital- UK
Belfast City University- NI
You can drop your advice here and your opinion.

This shows its possible to get a job even while you're in Nigeria, ofcourse he has three years experience, has a nursing degree and wrote the Nursing council exam. Nothing is impossible. Praise the Lord!!!!!!

PS.
If you have degree in IT, medical field, no money to pay for tuition. Just start applying, reconstruct your CV to the country standard,
The CV here is only two page. Nothing more than 2. Get your experience loaded, fill it up with activities and design it properly. Once you've gotten STEM job including those courses we think that there's no prospect, you're getting your employment permit. Engineering, biology, chemistry...even accounting, accounting students are the only one that can apply for a three years or more extension after study inorder for the country to allow them finish their Professional exams, students can only get two years after study, but they can get four years depending... Companies will even be willing to sponsor you if you're employed in the field of accounting, but if they pay for your exam, you have to sign a contract. Start applying!

Everybody journey is different, follow your path.

Wales is a smaller region in the UK, I don't know much either. The UK comprises of England, Wales and Scotland. Wales should be closer to Ireland based on the map. If I look at the map deeply, I can't help but notice that, years ago, Ireland was geographically attached to the UK until the Great Continental drift. Where the wholesome landmass broke up into chunks that we call countries and continents.

Chiggsglover:

Yeah
Dublin business school is actually affordable, I'm paying €11500, for a one yr course, I was given €1000 of scholarship in master's. This is way cheaper and a far cry from spending two yrs to do a post graduate diploma because I no get 2'1 and another two years for masters proper in canada. Making 4yrs!!!!!!!!!!

On accomodation

There's are various cycles to rent availablity.
We have when there will be high demand and when there will be excess supply of houses to share. High demand is when academic sessions will be about to start and students will be coming into the county, high supply is the opposite. School normally closes during December, expect lots of houses, it resumes January, expect remainder or nothing. August September is when landlords are the happiest. The demand is usually up the roof. Two months before then, there's usually spaces available.

This guide will help you plan your next upgrade. Upgrade doesn't mean you'll pay more, it can mean you can get something closer to work, cheaper, more convenient like in the case of having a double bed, if you indulge in extra-curricular-activities, like my friend will call it or a longer bed if you're Taller than Trump.

It's good to get a contract it possible, 6 months or more. It stops the landlord from increasing rent during the rent period. Having one doesn't mean you cant leave, ordinary contract ensures you give a month notice before you leave to get your full deposit.

It's very important you read the terms of the contract before signing. Cheers

Chiggsglover:
Let's start the journey.

I finished Bsc 2017, finished serving at Kebbi in ending of 2018.
I started my application to Canada January, 2019. Admission letter came in June, I made friends at the Creepy cosmetic Agency at lekki. Some of them already had submitted that their visa application and were waiting for a response, 3 months, 4 months. My internal alarms started ringing. I ran to another agency. I was advised about the course to read, and the Visa application, I got lots of assistance from the Irish thread here.
I got my admission letter in 21 working days and I was WOWED. I would have applied for visa in September 2019, but my house wasn't set in order and had to push it to Jan, 2020.
We took our time to package my application. In exactly 7 weeks, I got a call from the Courier and Visa Approved was on the white paper that flew out. How I manage to not tear it out of Anxiety was beyond me.
It came in November, some days before my birthday which was in December. I didn't go out, just ate the cake my sister baked. The Happenings around me was enough to make me extremely satisfied and happy.
So you need, I wish I got this kind of advice, I saved myself from depression if I had gotten a rejection. Everyone I knew that applied to canada apart from one girl got a rejection. It was depressing, I felt their pain, that's why I'm taking my time to explain this country and document my adventures.

Had to call the flight attendant for more.
As I was sleeping my tea, I looked out and saw what looked like a burning forest, I was thrilled and amazed.
Then the later it became clearer, it was actually a small city
The next shot shows a much bigger city.
I could have used my map to check the country but my Airtel couldnt roam properly. The flight wifi couldnt connect for some strange reasons.

*STEP BY STEP PROCESS OF BECOMING A UNITED KINGDOM REGISTERED NURSE (UKRN)*

▪️Get an international passport

▪️ Preferably, write and pass IELTS/OET before starting the process as it is presumed to be the most challenging of all.
▫️IELTS (about 75k)- Minimum Of Listening-7.0, Writing- 6.5, Reading- 7.0, Speaking- 7.0 and Overall - 7.0 .
▫️ Occupation English Test (OET, it is about 140k currently) - Minimum of Reading - B, Writing - C+, Listening - B, Speaking- B.

▪️Open an account with NMC UK via online.nmc-uk.org

▪️Pay £140 (you can pay directly yourself with a mastercard) after filling in the required information. At this stage, you need to upload the data page of your international passport, certificate (notification can be used here if your certificate isn't available yet) and IELTS/OET result (optional at this point).
You'll have a personalized NMC portal through which you can monitor your progress all through the whole registration process.

▪️ Pay #17,500 on remitta (pay online if you are outside Abuja and someone is to submit for you but if in Abuja, you can pay online or in a bank). Alongside evidence of payment, send the photocopies of the following documents to NMCN office (preferably Abuja office)
▫️ Notification/Certificate
▫️ License (front and back)
▫️ Letter requesting for verification and good standing (you must include your CRM number here, this CRM number can be found at the top left corner of the mail NMC UK sends after you must have paid £140. The letter should be addressed to NMCN and should include your name and the exact thing you want i.e verification and good standing with NMC UK.
▫️ Birth certificate
You might have to wait for weeks to be verified by NMCN, some pay for fast tracking though.

▪️Wait to be verified and get an authorization to test email from Pearson (the organization that handles the CBT exam) to book CBT.
Book the CBT (£83) and write the exam. You can buy a voucher for this on https://www.mindhub.co.uk/. You will get a voucher code within 24-48 hours which you can input when you get to the payment stage of your CBT booking on Pearson site.

▪️Fill the final form by NMC UK which includes an upload of name of medical regulator, police clearance, notification/certificate and IELTS(academics)/OET result (without this, you can't progress beyond this stage and you must have the expected bands) among others.

▪️Pay the final registration fee of £153 to NMC UK. This is needed so that you can get your pin from NMC UK (this pin is more like a license to practice).

▪️Wait to have good standing done by NMCN (You don't need to pay for this, the #17,500 covers it).

▪️ You can start looking for a job at any stage but preferably, start searching for jobs after you must have passed CBT and IELTS/OET. You can either get an agent or apply directly on nhs.jobs, tracjobs and indeed.co.uk for jobs in National Health Service (NHS) hospitals but for care homes, apply on http://www.carehome.co.uk. The benefits for care home vs NHS vary, choosing one depends on what you want and try researching on both before making a choice. Generally, care homes are believed to pay more but NHS hospitals are better for career advancement. Alternatively, you can send emails to some trusts to show interest in working for them.

▪️After getting an offer you are comfortable with (the "comfortable with" is very important), sign the offer letter and send your documents to the trust. Do not sign more than one offer though you can have more than one (max should be 3 please, don't go beyond that as we are trying not to cause problems for others). Note that when you apply directly, you might have to fund your visa and ticket yourself while you get a refund on getting to the UK (this isn't always the case though), agents on the other hand pay for these upfront. Just ensure you read your offer letter well to know what the trust is offering. The choice is all yours to make at the end of the day. You might have to try both actually because getting offers isn't as easy as before due to the backlogs Covid19 has caused.

This was nicely written by Onyekwe Chi ya Ekwe on the Telegram group. Cheers!!!

We are reaping the fruits of end stage capitalism. It was never supposed to be the answer to all our problems.
Imagine one man(who bleeds blood too) being worth that much. The ten richest people on earth have as much wealth as 50% percent of the world's poorest.
Let that inequality sink into your brain for a few minutes. It's mind boggling and staggering. Yet we have boys and girls screaming billionaire things up and down the internet. The earth will not be able to sustain that.
Ultimately the system will close on itself, it was always bound to. How it'll do so and what it will take, I don't know, but it will happen.

As Kanye West once rapped "No one man should have all that power."

It's relatively easier for nursing majors to get employment based visa right from Nigeria to Ireland. But majority of the nurses are focused on the UK

Yesterday at the Aviva stadium

I'm not really a football fanatic but I really had a good time. There's something about watching football match in a stadium. It's addictive.
It's shockingly expensive so I went there as a Cashier. I was able to join them after the first half and I will say it's nothing I've ever experienced.

From the jubilation and cheer when C Ronaldo walzed in to the intermittent chants. It was Amazing.
In attendance was the president of Ireland.... I had a staff pass, I saw his convoy and even Ronaldos Benz minivan.

What are we doing to our national stadium in Lagos? Why aren't even African teams playing there??
It's extremely depressing and boring watching football alone in your living room.
I can see why I never had interest in the first place. Alot of people I interact with get disgusted when I tell them I have no interest in football. They seem to think I'm not man enough . I can't say the same in this country.
