I was thinking of gifting someone this same redmi 9c, now I have to reconsider. I know Techno/infinix is a no-no, never expected Redmi to have such an issue.

No phone is bug free. Try googling any device. You will discover that some users have complains.

But these complains are not general with that particular device in question.

Guy, people are complaining. Visit Gsmarena or just visit their thread here on Nairaland and see series of complains. Every page you open on the thread is full of complains.

Not only 9C. 9T too. Infact 9T is worse. Mine is 9A. It has its own bad side but it is manageable.

Mine that is 9A also misbehaves at times by failing to reboot or start up.

they have rolled 2 more updates after then...still no visible changes. It's better to flash twrp to the device so as to avoid reboot issue

Have been using redmi 7a for like two years now..so I decided to upgrade to a new phone.i bought a new redmi 9c..at first phone was working well then all of a sudden it just off and can't turn on again.
So I took the phone to where I bought it and explain the problem to them.they directed me to their care center to..so when I went there,they took the phone from me and told me they will replace it with another one,that I should come back within 5 days
5 days have turn to a month plus and I haven't still gotten the phone..anytime I go to their store to ask for my phone,they will tell me the phone as not arrive,that they don't even know when it will arrive

Lol. Don't be shocked that you would be told to pay when the phone eventually gets to raya at Lagos.
You will still wait a minimum of about 1month after the phone leaves raya to get to d shop you took it too. Very unprofessional customer service agents

The way you guys hype this phone ehn I don't understand really. My redmi 9c also went off won't turn on or charge after the 11th day of buying, I took it there and they say they can't give me another one that is over 10 days. well, they fix my phone when the day to collect my phone reach they told me my phone is not under Nigeria warranty I had to pay 8k that day to collect the phone.


Fast forward to exactly a month later the phone stopped charging, I can only charge when I off it, it was there my head spark and I went to Xiaomi Facebook page and blast them, I even sent them a direct message on Facebook and I posted my complaint in every section of their post.

Two hours later I started receiving calls from the Aftersales Manager (Northern region) the apologised and tell me to take the phone to raya care at wuse for them to fix the phone again.


Long story short the phone was fixed in less than an hour and my 8k I initially paid for a new battery was refunded to me after two weeks..


Why will someone be unlucky to buy a new phone since you say the guy is unlucky?

Whenever I visit the Xiaomi thread to expose their flaws, they all come out to attack me. I have said it several times that their phones are riddled with software bugs. It is just too inconsistent for me because I'm a perfectionist as an engineer and mathematics is my thing. The RAM stats, Battery usage stats and Memory usage stats are all incorrect and inconsistent.
For the 9C users complaining, 9T also has similar issues and many users are complaining too.

Mine is 9A and it suffers from all the aforementioned software bugs. In addition to that, the 5000mah battery is wack and doesn't last long at all. Sometimes when I power it ON, it gets stucked on the Redmi boot logo until I force it OFF and ON it again. I just pray it doesn't get stucked permanently one of these days. But I will try my best to sell it out before it gets to that stage.

don't mind me. They are toxic and won't accept their device has flaws

think there is a factory problem with this redmi 9c...persuaded a friend of mine to get the phone cos I felt redmi is a good buy...after 8days the battery the battery went flat and phone wouldn't turn on again...had to take it to their office at Ikeja....another one was issued as promised after 12 working days....think that particular model has general problem

I tell you. I use to be a die hard xiaomi fan, From R5plus, Rn5pro, Rn8, Rn10pro. The first time i used galaxy a51. I realized there is a difference between super hardware without software optimization and average hardware with great software optimization. Now using galaxy a52. And enjoying every bit of it. I wonder how the S series go be.

The software experience on A52 is sweet, my last phone was redmi note 8, so great software over hardware anyday for me too. There have been like five updates since I got the A52 and none of em is buggy.

A friend had a similar experience on this same Redmi 9c. The phone just went off and it didn't come on again just few weeks after purchase. She took it back to the store as it was still under warranty. They took it from her and told her to come get it back later. She got it back weeks later, initial issue resolved but the mouth piece and ear piece had been tampered with, another wahala. She has to return it again, still yet to get it back.

It's an occurrence with that particular model of Xiaomi phone. People should stop buying phones that doesn't guarantee them effective after sales services. TECNO might not be perfect but this particular issue would have been resolved by Carlcare in few days.

Stop trying to water down people's complaints because you're a Xiaomi fan boy.
