The tax of a thing has shown the hypocritical side of the Northern axis and also the FG stance with the north. You can't ban anything consider 'Haram' in Sabon Gari and then expect the VAT from such products down 'Diobu' or 'Alimosho' to be shared among the three entities. 3 Likes |

Close to 30 states will be affected by this move, which is a good thing because most state governors have become lazy over time. But then the newspaper try to be mischievous by highlighting 2 or 3 states in the North for sensationalism. Tribal journalism. |

Again the unproductive and parasitic population over there up North will disagree. I have never seen a people so shameless and unproductive instead of finding tangible ways to better their condition they will rather prefer they remain dependent forever and dragging the productive southerners backward |

This state vat collection is good , if your cows trek reach each state in the south ,you pay Vat on each of them ,that will discourage these herdsmen and build ranches for the cows , put up meat industries and package their cow meat for sell. 1 Like 1 Share |

cocolacec: While about 50% of Lagos IGR and 70% of Rivers state IGR are derived from businesses owned by SEners. SE governors can start taking advantage of this new push. That is why I want Soludo to become the governor of Anambra state. Seaports like Oseakwa in Anambra and Obuaku in Abia can be developed and the necessary facilities and amenities put the in place to handle the business influx. Huge pressure can then be applied on Igbo businessmen across Nigeria to start thinking home. Igbo Nationalism could be used as a tool to achieve this. Even cultural persuasion could be applied, with traditional rulers and Igbo town unions being used to cajole their sons and daughters to set up their headquarters in Igboland. Places like Cross River and Akwa Ibom state will even benefit, because, Igboland will need as many nearby seaports as possible. Igboland already has the population to get this going |

I pray this judgement is not subverted when the case is appealed in the higher courts. The north has been taking the south for granted since 1960. While people from the south are busy pushing for economic development the north is busy pushing for ethnic domination and islamization agenda. They continue to make the region unattractive to investors yet they want to share from other regions making so much efforts for developments. I think this judgement will awaken them from their slumber and make them throw away their sentiments. Even Saudi Arabia has in recent times changed some of their religious bias to attract investors and to be more competitive economically. 1 Like |
