I didn't see where he said we should drive continuously in floods.
Pearl is just an opposition politician. He whips up sentiments from the air to support his arguments.

What I stated has been what works for me. Before today, people have been swimming water, getting stuck in it, having interior damaged etc. Never happens to me.

I don't quite agree with this... Even with no wiring and leakage issues, continuous driving in flood will damage or at best reduce the lives span of car components such as hub bearing, shaft, steering rack/column, suspension parts (about 6 of them), ac compressor, bushings/engine mounts, drum breaks etc and cause radiator, condenser, and undercarriage rust.
Anything more than d height of ur chassis is a no no...therefore water completely covering your tyres is well over d allowed levels, talkless of the bonnet.
The "noise" about continuous driving in flood
as obtained in ehailing is not over rated. Naive/novice drivers should not be encouraged to drive in flood. Ones in a while when u don't have a choice is okay but not every time like it's nothing.
I understand these are your own thoughts but I get cars wey people dey drive make Dem no come see this ur post start to dey enter water wey go reach bonnet abeg grin
Is Lagos flooded 24/7? You defeated yourself with this argument about continuous driving in flood. The last time the roads were this flooded was in July. The drainage system in Lagos makes it impossible to totally escape bodies of water.

you said its okay once in a while. You knew what I meant in my submission was to get prepared for that once in a while. You just wanted to counter argue for the sake of argument. The last time you tried that, you admitted to what you tried to argue against.

Fix up your cars while anticipating flash floods that happens once in a while and then do not go further if water passes your tires. Twist it as you may, you'll arrive at the same thing.

I've said my own, sticking with it. If your drivers are foolish enough to take a car through a body of water that would be detrimental to them, then it's their business. Fix up your cars and apply commonsense.

Like I said, I recognize it is what works for u and ur experience u r sharing BUT people with no knowledge about cars are reading ur posts and learning. Asides what we do personally it's good we state global standards and best practices.
I was in Landmark this morning and the road beyond inwards Lekki is an eyesore. I can only imagine how Emma Abimbola Cole, Itedo, Tom Ogboi, kunsela, Ogombo, Alpha beach road, Bale etc will look like, cos I can't go to these places.

That alpha Beach road and Baale street are terrible roads. I still wonder how cars still go there to pick riders.

He didn't say anything about driving continuously in water.

His point was clear.

Your car is your tool for the job
The floods are inevitable in Lagos
Since we can't really escape floods, we should just put the tools in perfect shape and we'll be fine.

He even notified drivers on the quantity of water to swim in. For him, the tyre level should be the threshold.

Like I said, he didn't not encourage continuous driving floods. He only advised on how to tackle the problem.

As for your comprehension, I wouldn't know anything about it grin

baba for every bad rating a rider gave u, get a friend or family member to request you, and rate yourself 5 start, sacrificing small commission for bolt may keep you in business

I will definitely do that. What these riders don't understand is that there's a negative ripple effect when they continuously rate a driver low.

The more negative ratings you give, the higher the chances of the driver getting blocked.

The more drivers that are blocked, the lower the driver to rider ratio.

The lower the driver to rider ratio, the higher the pick up time and surge.

The more the surge and pick up time, the more they wait to get picked by a driver and the higher their fare amount.

The higher the pick up time and fare price, the more angry they become and rate the driver low again and the cycle continues.

It's a lose lose situation but they don't understand it because they believe they will always get another driver whenever they make a request yet complain each time a trip ends in a surge with higher fare.

His submission was keep electrical components and leakages fixed and then by all means enter d flood anywhere u see it. Don't run from it, afterall other cars are passing. If it doesn't exceed bonnet u r good.

With this summary go and read my post again.
