Depends on the load at a time. One thing you must know is the bigger the generator the more fuel it consume.

It's not adviceable to buy beyond 3.5 kva for home use any generator bigger than that you will cry for fuel if you are not boyant. 3.5 kva will power 1.5 ac comfortably. Will be street with 2kv.

If you have money for 8kva that can carry 1.5Hp and two 1hp inverter. But you will on one first after the other.

haier thermocool is a good brand.

Thanks

Itec power generator 3.5kva will do the job for you. Its relatively unknown but has very good reviews by customers who purchased it. It's quite expensive for the electric starters but you will get a good bargain on konga. Konga is selling directly from their warehouse, so it's cheaper and more reliable than other dealers bc they are the main distributors. It can power a 1.5hp ac conviniently due to its optimised alternator design. Not many generators out there have this. Me sef na lutian I wanted to buy before, but this model seems better. I dey save money to buy the electric starter. Rated output is 3.5kva, max rated output is 4kva.
What about the 2.5kva model have u tried it

Good Morning Gptech. My generator now make a sound like there's a ring inside. It started today and i don't know if that may cause an issue to it, it's stilll On now though. Should i be concerned? I've checked the oil level and it's still full. I don't want to call a technician to work on it as i read here that there should not be any tweaking. I'm worried please.
Gptech:

You should visit one of their flagship stores, don't have an idea of the price but they are available.

Is the sound distorted? Did you change the position of the gen? It's possible that's how it sounds, changing the position of a generator affects the noise you hear.

Hi GPtech, hi everybody

I managed to get my hands on a used Thermocool BoboMax 2kva

This thing has top fuel efficiency, 3 litres of fuel lasts at least 6 hours for me

But it consumes a lot of oil, I topped it up and let it run for ~8 hours, but it then tripped the automatic shut off. Checking the oil levels told me that it did drop below the recommended amount. I topped it up again, ran another 8 hours and got the same result.

There isn't a leak. This engine seems to just be eating oil

Is this regular operating procedure for these things? Is it going to guzzle oil like this every 8 hours or so, or do I have a larger problem on my hands/need to fix something?

Thanks!

I actually did move it a little bit farther from where it was initially. The noise just stopped now. Thank you so much. I was so scared initially.

There's an issue somewhere, you are not supposed to be topping oil like that. When did you buy it? If it's still under warranty, take it to their service center closest to you.

Hello house. Apologies for the length of this. I'm a student with the following appliances:

Home theatre system
Infinix 32'' Inch TV
Small tabletop fridge
One ceiling fan
One standing fan
One PS4 Console
Laptop
Phone/power bank

So I came across an Elepaq constant with 1.3kw rated output. (Picture shown below). It seems from checks online it's equivalent to 1.2kv rated; don't really get the discrepancy since 1.3kw should be equal to 1.6KVA?

So question is, would this be able to power my stuffs without hiccups? Everything won't be on at the same time tho (Like the PS4 and fridge would never be turned on at the same time). I don't even think I'd need it for the fridge since we do have relatively regular power supply. Just need the gen in case of periods of prolonged outages and for my laptop to be constantly charged.

I don't really trust the Elepaq I'm intending to get though given complaints I've read on this thread about brand new Elepaqs becoming faulty within a few days and the price is much more less than Jumia/Konga. (~68k as opposed to ~74-89k online)

I'd have just shelled out some extra cash for the Thermocool TEC junior but there's no reliable Thermocool licensed dealer around (nearest one's in Benin) and getting it from there and shipping down to Ekpoma would be a lot of stress + added costs.

So, should I just bear go through the stress of getting it or would the Elepaq be a reliable alternative?

How about the Senwei 1.8KVA manual starter?

Or is there any other better alternative in the 1.2-2KVA range?

Elepaq is good. But if you can add money and get the 2.5kva it would be better. The price is not that much. Anything below 2.5 is rubbish and waste of money. 2.5kva is all you need to run everything at the same time smoothly.

Go through the stress and get the Junior. Better to be stressed now just once than to be continuously stressed with time.

You don't have to turn everything on at the same time. That pump will stress the gen sha.

Not worth it! The shipping fee alone will cost more than the generator and many of the generators sold there are generic.

Am very happy to find this forum...

I'm thinking of getting a generator tomorrow. My gadget: Tv, table size freezer, standing fans, etc.

Can 1.3kva senwei gen power the above listed gadgets without issues?

Will recommend only Thermocool and Sumec Firman. You can get Thermocool only from their stores and Firman from Firman flagship stores or accredited sellers, don't just buy from any store, fakes are much more than the originals nowadays. Your budget should be at least 170k to get something that will fit in.

Boss,

Please can you help with Firman flagship stores especially on the Island. Thanks
