The North and some states in the East will oppose the new VAT Ruling. After Vat collection by state the next should be decentralization of the Army and the police.

The leeches in both regions will oppose the ruling. We already saw who betrayed the anti grazing ban in the south first.....

The funny thing is that if northern leaders for a minute can actually get their acts together they'd see rapid development in terms of igr in their region. If an economic partnership that is beneficial to both parties in the south west and the north is entered into both regions will see development. Build a cargo railway that connects the north and south west, build more dry ports in the south west and invest in livestock agriculture in the north and creation of an arewa/odua investment company for both regions. Synergy is what is really needed.

Plus ogun states and Oyo states really need to work on their own igr and exploit the closeness to Lagos.

I personally really don't give them much attention when they say stuff like that, usually it's bereft of any facts or logic and simply empty statements to feed their ego.... they talking about having ports, lol last time I checked they were landlocked.
YorubarLord:
I wonder what you have to say about oyo and ogun state, even ondo is higher than Enugu . With all these dumb bragging your region is still the poorest in the region. Building mansions in village with fvcked up roads to stroke your weak egos don't generate IGR. No reasonable person would want to go invest in your region seeing how you people go about destroying people's business cos they refuse to follow you IPOB order. I can't wait for Nigeria to be divided so you can carry your businesses back to biafuro. Yoruba land needs to breath.

I think yoruba nation will favour us more. We are going to make more money by taxing foreigners who are doing businesses or owning properties.
I wish Awo had fought for independence of yoruba nation. I wish he had supported Biafra course.

Well, I can't speak for the whole state but I am sure Yeye Bello will want to prove stubborn and subversive (to his hegemonists) in Kogi State.

Forget that last data compiled as allusion that some Eastern states will go against the VAT. For one, I know it's because they are not collecting their VAT directly that's why they are at the bottom of the wrung, watchout for the next charts when they start collecting and see major reorganization and realignments that will even shake the position of Kano and Kaduna.

And the funny thing is that about half of the Lagos IGR is being provided by SEners, and about 70% of Rivers state IGR is being provided by SEners also.

Proper economic planning and the installation of seaports at Oseakwa in Anambra and Obuaku in Abia, will quadruple the IGR of the SE states.

Adding Igbo areas in the SS stretching from Obigbo, to Opobo and Ubani, to Ogwashiuku to the SE will further help the Igbo economy.

Igbos will automatically be bestowed with the title of states with the largest IGRs

Awo fought for a Yoruba nation, the Brits never agreed so they settled for regional system of govt where each region control its affairs. The military coup of January 1966 destroyed all these arrangement.

Nigeria is a blessed country with EVERY REGION having at least one natural resources for exploration.
The North has gold & other precious stones. The South West has bitumen & seaports. The East has Tin ore & some have oil while the south south has Oil & tourism(obudu).
I urge all state governors to stop depending on Federal allocation and begin to look inwards by creating a peaceful enabling environment for foreign investors & businesses to thrive in order for IGR to be generated.

After using Hisbah to destroy alcohol businesses in the North, they want to stretch hand & collect VAT proceeds from same alcohol businesses in the South. Nonsense.

Northern states.... The Fulanis have nothing to offer for the development of this country, yet they are the ones causing problems and wants to lord over other productive tribes.
Enough is enough!

Lies!

No eastern state will oppose the ruling.
This is simply northern propaganda. Just like they tried to gang up against anti-grazing law.
They are trying to gang up against what is clearly written in the constitution.

They will fail!
Southern states must double down and insist on the constitution.
