Yes, it was a long time ago but they actually did beat Portugal in a friendly game.

March 31, 2015:
Portugal 0 Cape Verde 2

Wow. Maybe they'll come back all out November but we will be prepared. When did they beat Portugal ?

Anyone watching Burkina Faso vs Algeria? What a fast paced game. The Burkinabe players are giving it to the Algerians. Great game of football all around!

Sub, I think the pitch was a major factor because our boys didn’t play that well either. Talking from a personal experience, there nothing that destroys team cohesion more than a pitch.

I will not judge either teams until I see them play in a better pitch.

Which of their teams defeated them because this team I watched today doesn't look like they played football together before, maybe they were missing key players too because they were horrible today grin

If you are not in camp with these guys, you can't really say.

Okoye looks like someone that will concede 5 goals if faced with 6 shots on targets.

Someone should direct Rhor to this place o. tongue
The number of likes on this post has given us the verdict o.
No be fine boy we wan chop abeg grin grin. Okoye is a replica of Akpeyi. He doesn't instill confidence at all. He looks like someone that can concede 5 goals out of 6 shots on Target.

Operation bring back our 19yrs old Goalkeeper grin grin

Put chukwueze and Ejuke on the wings. The opposition right back and left backs are in for a long day. wink wink

But I doubt if Rhor will do this. angry

better performance than the first game IMO attack still needs more tweaking. Truly our strength in depth can't be denied missing 8-9 starters and we still played a fairly controlled game impressive. Uzoho should definitely regain the number 1 spot. Have been patient with Okoye but he hasn't shown he's better than Francis. His time will come but for now I think it's best he stays as a backup

Our away game against CAR will played in Cameroon... That's gonna be in one of the AFCON stadiums,I think....so that's a bonus for us...neutral ground plus good pitch... 6 points guaranteed in the double header... that's 12 points...
I fancy us getting 18pts from this group

Kingsley has shown he can be a viable option in the midfield. Maybe not as a starter but definitely an option to have.

Collins and Shehu showed good experienced play. Their time in the national team is far from up.

Ejuke did very well although he was a bit underwhelming in the second half but I like the fact that he was always terrorizing the Cape Verde fullbacks.

All in all great international window full six points and top of the group job half done. Good thing is we are not yet playing champagne football but we're getting results that is good hopeful for the future.

I never liked Awaziem as a CB. That guy is a SB. He is light. That's not a CB. He wanna make runs. He wanna come forward. He wanna be making crosses. My opinion.

Ummm that also sounds like Leon Balogun

Cameroon
South Africa
Togo
Kenya
Libya
Plus even European countries like: Portugal, Luxembourg, Andorra etc.

Please don’t write them off.

That was the best match of the qualifiers so far. It was a slug fest from start to finish. Questionable refereeing though. Algeria lead the group on goals scored.

That group will be decided on the last match as they'd be tied on point till the final game.
Burkina Faso next 3 matches before Algeria decider
Is Djibouti (A), Djibouti (H), Niger (H) then Algeria decider.
This group may be decided by goal differences
Burkina Faso home games will be played in Morocco and I feel they will gel well with the N/African vibe before going to Algeria for the return leg

You have also remember that Morocco has ceased diplomatic relations with Algeria as both nations are currently in a diplomatic row. The adverse atmosphere could've played a role in tonight's draw.
