Lagos Assembly Passes VAT, Anti-Open Grazing Bills by HonNL(op): 1:41pm On Sep 09, 2021
The Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday passed the Value Added Tax Bill, with Speaker Mudashiru Obasa directing the Acting Clerk of the House, Mr. Olalekan Onafeko, to transmit a clean copy to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for assent.

The House also passed the bill that prohibits open cattle grazing in the state.

The two bills were passed after unanimous votes by the lawmakers at the sitting where the bills were read the third time.

Immediately after their passage, Speaker Obasa commended his colleagues for their passion to see that the state continues to grow.

“I thank you all for this historic exercise,” Obasa said.

The House had held separate public hearings on the bills on Wednesday, with stakeholders expressing support.

Good development.
As long as each states utilize the VAT for the development and progress on their people.
As long as it won't end in the foreign accounts of politicians in the states.

Our stand @ on everything related to this VAT issue below.....

We've talked about ranching many times here.
This is how things are done in saner climes.
Miyetti Allah need to give the good ones among their members all the re-orientation that things can be done the way it is done in civilized nations.

The ONLY constant thing in life is CHANGE.

The bill was not meant to attack anybody, but that it was all-embracing.
Land resources were very important to the state, adding that the relationship between cattle herders and farmers should be symbiotic.

A better Nigeria all around is all we want.
God bless Lagos State.
God bless Nigeria.

SarkinYarki:
Na wa .. The north will know the worst thing dey ever did was to force Buhari on NIGERIA...
The North did not force Buhari on Nigeria but many Northerners (at least the 'woke' ones in the region like Ganduje, El Rufai, Sanusi Lamido etal) will regret that it is Buhari that used two terms that will now negatively define the North and precipitate animosity , from Southerners, towards the region and her people for a long time.

All Buhari's good deeds, and there are many, will now be inconsequential because people generally only remember the few bad things you do and not the millions of good deeds to your name.

Meanwhile guys like Malami, Pantami etal are 'balling' because they are too myopic enjoying 'our time' to realize that life will go on after Buhari.

Keep silent and stop talking outta point.
If the thread is too much for you to comprehend , chill out and read intelligent members here comments and learn.
PMB is not your problem in everything going on with you.
So Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State has suddenly become part of your corrupt and evil PDP party.
Confusion overload.
Stop politics of hatred and bitterness.
Read and Learn.

shocked

Patiently waiting to hear from Miyetti Allah.

Abuja should also enact this law.
Me I still wonder how cattles are still being grazed in Maitama, Asokoro, Gwarimpa, Wuse and even Central Area.

Malami and Buhari will surely do a press conference over this ban on open grazing. Lagos state will hear from Buhari when he is back from Imo.

Seems like something terrible always happen to Fulani cabals when ever they visits Imo State.
Former IG visited Imo and was sacked.
The former APC chieftain visited Imo and was killed and now Buhari has visited Imo and Lagos banned open grazing why he is still in Imo.
