You are getting it wrong.
True, it has been in development for a long time (11yrs or so) but it was never announced as a project soon to be released.

Same analogy as Deathstroke solo movie or Nightwing, Jared Leto's Joker, Gotham City Sirens movies that has been in development for 5yrs plus. They were never announced that's the key difference.

Cyborg, Flash and Green Lantern are projects that was announced and in development but never produced. That's the difference: announcement. Even Plastic Man and the likes were announced by WB but we know that thing seems as good as dead since no word about the progression.
I think we've trashed this before, in devt vs announced projects. While they are both similar they are necessarily not the same.

The app suppose don get APK na.
Even if you see a dependable VPN that's going to work with it, you'd have to pay premium subscription fee for such powerful VPNs.

Anyways, I no dey bother much now sef. If na 2023/24 e land here no wahala. I no get strength for streaming na cos the data costs I never reason that one yet. The monthly 20GB Plan wey I just port to na manage I still dey manage am, talkless of adding VOD join am, when no be YouTube. That one na to get seperate special dataplan.
The only streaming service wey I dey run now, na Spotify Premium.

The project was supposed to debut this year but you know Covid disrupted plans.
GOT prequel and GL was supposed to premiere this year, in time for HBOMax Europe debut.


The show is in Pre-production.
Lead Casts: Finn Wittrock as Guy, Jeremy Irvine as Alan Scott.
Casting crew already set(ting) up and doing behind the scenes work. Showrunner: Graham Smith, Director: Lee Toland.

Filming set for late 2021(November). Any further delay takes it to early 2022.

Announcement is more like setting up a favorable release to Wade off competitors. And to build hype. Doing it the way you say, doesn't build hype or prepare people for it. I mean, you announce something, start production immediately then release it under one year, it doesn't work for big budget films. More like indie films and low budget films like Joker for instance, Peacemaker etc. But big budget, you have to build the hype. It's same for every blockbuster. Avatar for example.

Peacemaker isn't low budget.

It's lightening fast mainly because it starts filming as soon as TSS finished and also used it's set. Shares significant amount of cast. Already had a written script, cast and crew lying in wait. Also same director. So I think it's sharing some of the budget of TSS.

First of all, understand what I mean by low budget in this instance. It doesn't carry the budget of a blockbuster. And Blockbusters are those with 100 million plus. but the guys has a point black adam was first announced way b4 last year, been the longest in production if am not mistaken, the Rock even said so himself, and the green lantern they announced last year and still no production till now, it's way too long and that's a problem with DC they to dey delay. Keeping tye hype up is what sell the game ask marvel.
