I get really scared any time a loved one dies. Like I just get scared of everything. I won't be able to sleep alone in my room for a long time (like maybe two years). It gets worse once it's dark.

When my mom died three years ago, I couldn't sleep alone or be alone at home. Even when we travelled to the village for Christmas that year (my mom died on December 1 that year), I couldn't even be alone in the kitchen. I was just scared of everything. Same thing happened when my elder brother died a year earlier.

My brother in-law died three weeks ago and I'm scared of everything again. It's really traumatising. I went to see his remains at the morgue today and it looks like I'm having PTSD already. Too many creepy things running through my mind and head. Seeing dead humans covered up in large black nylons really dealt with me mentally. I didn't spend up to a minute in there, but the few seconds feels like twenty minutes. I still feel like I was surrounded by dead people.

How do I overcome this? It's not a really good feeling for me. It hurts badly.

Note: I'm 27....so it's not as if I'm so young.

Help me, Nairalanders

Sounds more like anxiety than PTSD. Maybe you should write down what it is that scares you of the dead and maybe you can begin to see how irrational your fears really are? undecided

That or you binge for months on some seriously scary horror flicks to replace the imaginary images in your head with some seriously scarier ones. That might work. undecided

Or you go see a professional for counseling. undecided

1. Are you afraid to die?
2. Are you afraid of spirits haunting you?

You first need to know exactly WHY you are afraid. The answer will tell what the solution is.

Ask yourself this...Why would the ghost of your mother be in the house trying to scare you? undecided

Why would the ghost of any of the others be in the house trying to scare you of all people? undecided

What is it about you that makes you believe yourself a potential magnet for ghosts? undecided

You own small. My own is that my heart would be beating.

It stopped when I understood the condition of the dead.

I think what you lack is knowledge. The truth about life and the next life. Death is a transition to the next life of eternity. Build your faith on the truth and you will no longer know fear, because He is a rock.

Ghosts do not exist.

Of course, demons exist. They don't mind materializing body forms of people who lived, belying God's Word, and calling God a liar.

You are not really dealing with the spirits of dead people but demonic forces.
You need to turn to God through Jesus. He only can give you true deliverance. Your parent and brother's death is not ordinary, there are demonic forces around, Read the bible start from the book of John, you have to repent, and believe in Jesus.

The name of Jesus is the most powerful name both in heaven and on earth and below, it is given to men like you so they can be saved,

you dont need to be afraid, after accepting Jesus as your Lord and saviour.

Let me give you some benefit of trusting in Jesus as your Lord and saviour.

1. Your sins are forgiven you
2. The holy ghost would be in you
3. You become born again having eternal life
4. You become son of God

When the holy ghost is in you, then God Almighty is in you because he is God. With the name of Jesus you have authority over principalities and powers and their antics, when yourself in the Love and faith of Jesus
The wicked one cannot touch you.

1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Then you begin to pray to brake every covenant of death in your family to be broken.

Understand that the devil is behind all these
He is a thief, a killer and a destroyer.
He killed your parents and your brother, stole your joy dont let him destroy you! Run to Jesus
