I use a Toyota Camry 08 for this job, bolt precisely. It has android screen....not the normal muscle front.

I used to be on 4.7* rating, but today I saw 4.5*

I usually call rider first. I usually greet first when they enter. I even carry their loads myself and put in the trunk. If it's about driving carefully, I am sure I do. Even before this hustle, when there was no car, if I go out with friends, they usually prefer I drive, even when they all can drive. Even my mom commends my driving skills. So what could be the problem? I usually dress well. Some of my clothes are pretty expensive......sneakers, wristwatches, cologne. Could it be that they see my car and dressing as too big for the job or what? I don't understand the reason for the drop in rating? Could it be that I communicate in clean oral English. I speak very well.
What exactly could be the problem?

There's this bolt driver I met around pharmcity Lekki. He said he does not carry loads o, that he opens the trunk for them. His rating is about 4.9*

...hahahahaha.....can't stop laughing ó...so this is true.

I took a lady from maplewood estate last Sunday to Eko hotel on a bolt ride. We had a nice conversation and all that. Arrived at her destination, I unlocked central lock. When she was about to disembark from the Vehicle, she said:

Me: (chuckled) ...for what sis? I smiled again
Rider: But other drivers do, they keep begging me..
Me: apologies, not to be seen to be rude or sound arrogant. Can I have a minute of your time.

Me: Eeyah... I'm already in gbagada...so sorry
Rider: Alright...I'll order for another ride
Me: please do ma'am

(An hour and half gone later)

Phone rings again....rider calling...(now I recognize the number)

Rider: You did not ask me whether I was able to get a ride
Me: (I laughed, how e tey concern me) you'll surely do ma'am.....we do unregistered schedules night and day (I replied jokingly, thinking about antleagues and lazyDLeague for my mind)

Another area where Uber beats Bolt is their transparent rating system.
It will be very hard to be yanked off the Uber platform due to low ratings.

I'll suggest you stick to the sole aim of ride sharing which is movement from point A to point B. And be professional about it.

You can also sense a trouble rider from their own ratings and conversation before pick up.
You MUST NOT accept/complete every trip request.

Sadly, Bolt doesn't encourage filtering of trip requests and ultimately leads to a BLOCK.

P.S- Most drivers boost their Bolt ratings fraudulently by dummy requests.

Thanks. The last lady I picked today from Berger to ikeja really enjoyed our discussion. I even allowed her play her choice of songs by connecting her phone to my android via Bluetooth. Her money was 1800. She gave me 2k and told me to keep the change. She said she enjoyed the ride and A/c. Immediately I dropped her, the rating came to 4.5*

I really don't understand it.

If I am to respond to you sincerely, I would tell you that a driver like you would creep me out. I just need you to get me from point A to B in the best time. Don’t ask me to connect my bluetooth, don’t talk to me, don’t kill me with AC (I will close the vent or tell you to REDUCE it)…just drive. When you do too much, you show riders that you are desperate for good ratings and some would see you finish, especially on that your Bolt. As much as you need good ratings, don’t be thirsty for it.

@ chillex.

I give Uber credit for transparent rating. But as for filtering of trips, Bolt deserves some credit too, provided it's done within the limits, this is to guard against abuse

On filtering of trips, Uber has no bite. trips can't be filtered properly. how can you filter a trip you can't see in the first instance.? grin

Yes, ratings could drop on Bolt, for me, it's just a psychological play on the drivers, nothing else. grin Ratings are absolutely irrelevant.

You are right too, drivers boost ratings by dummy ride requests.

Majority of drivers blocked on Bolt are not because of ratings. A lot of them brazenly demand for offlines from clients that Bolt gave them, that is fraud, which is enough reason to weed them off the platform.

Baba, believe it, It's a psychological play on drivers, I don't take it serious. When I still see riders with 2.0, 3.5 on the platform consistently, then it's all crap.

Of course, one shouldn't now start misbehaving, just be yourself, ratings will go down, it will go up too. Life's easy.

Its a good car... Easy and cheap to maintain, leg doesn't pull like the accords brothers, make sure you inspect well b4 buy, use the recommended oil and transmission, price is from 2m upwards for tokunbo and 850-1.7m for 9ja used depending or location and condition. Very fuel efficient than the Corolla.

NB: all cars usually have bole joint problem but the accord is master of them all infact general overseer of leg dislocation but for the 3-4yrs I used an accord the legs only pulled once so everything falls to maintenance. Ive seen the Toyota pull leg several times.

Oga hoodlum.... Pls i have a pressing matter i need to discuss with you. Two things actually
