To win election takes more than winning the majority votes.

Apart from winning majority votes, you must score 25% of all votes casts in at least 24 states. For one, no northern candidate can win all the 19 states in the north. There are about 7 states that that are swing states.

They will have major problems in their hands.

Akeredolu is the man not necessarily for tue presidency but for being consistent in recognising threats and injustices threatening his Nigeria and his domain. He has been vocal about Fulani bandits, kidnapping and herdsmen constituting nuisance in his state and south west. He has been courageous and outstanding. He hasn’t hidden under political diplomacy.
He has initiated meetings and conferences and prompted other sleepy governors to act.

He hasn’t rested and he has done all these sensibly, authoritatively and consistently in contrast with Wike’s method. Wike is another governor who has been bold in action but with a different method.

Akeredolu in my opinion might not be the saviour but if there is one man out there whom I’d give my vote and support if he was to contest. I’d be him. He echos the thoughts and opinions of millions of southerners.

On the same argument that the north has done 8 years, that same argument precludes yorubas from contesting. SW yorubas have done 8 years as presidency and VP of 8 years by 2023, so they are the least qualified in the South to contest.

If the SW is shouting fairness and equity, so that all southerners can join them to hijack the presidency to their region, then the southern nonsense won't work.

Everybody in the south, knows the only region in the south that has not produced presidency and VP since 1999, that region is the South East, if the southern unity scheme is not geared towards fairness and justice for the SE that has not tasted power since 1999, then let's stop wasting our time with the 'Southern unity' hullabaloos.
