Ok.

Just in case we hve forgotten, our government is working hard to control insecurity . There is lower reports of attacks on military and police installation since an arrest was made

Dilector or Supleme leader has been spoken to in the language he understands. It is remaining the ESN terrorists who keep attacking peoples fathers and bred winners

Odunayaw:
grin I want to believe this discourse is not for the sake of discourse

It's very easy to influence people more so by an esteemed personality (Leader-Followers). Majority of men don't think for themselves. All of us are subtly incentivized to do things.

My sister comes home from school one day and tells me of a particular boy that bullies her. I reply "and you did nothing and are reporting to me". Two days later my parents are summoned to her school. A pupil's uniform has been ripped.

"Take heed, beware of the leaven (doctrine) of the Pharisees" — Jesus Christ

Perhaps, but my main point is that Nigerians are no more deviant or corrupt than people elsewhere and actually I would argue Nigerians are possibly less deviant or corrupt than people in other nations. And this last is possibly the origin of Nigeria's overblown sense of thire deviance over others. The Nigerian state has become too morden and too sophisticated for the old modes of primordial sanctions to work in controlling how we relate to each other and society and still we proceed along on cultural notions of trust and reliance on individuals homegrown morality echoing from village and tribal past. People have left villages, different cultural perspective intermingle, different family structures are taking root, atomisation is growing, towns and cities have grown and adopted Western models, foreign influences abound in every direction, we're subject to revolution in information and technology etc.

There are answers for managing morden societies that Nigeria is failing to grasp due perhaps to misunderstanding the relationship between democracy and liberalism or and organising a nation teaming with a people whose majority is still transitioning from a premodial to morden mindset. One of them is informed by the classic liberal ideas of Utility Maximisation. The relevant subtext here is that of Bentham and Mill's conclusion that humans will always diffult to self interest. This means that provided with the opportunity humans will manipulate systems to benefit themselves, be they European, Asian, African, Men , women or Nigerians. The state therefore needs to work on the assumption that everyone is a cheat or will cooperate with others to cheat flawed systems for the equal benefit of all in the group while still looking out for opportunity to benefit a little extra from the beneficial cheating group. So one of the aims of the liberal democratic state is to create accountability in the system. Checks and balances isn't just limited to the executive arm of government but must be integral throughout the system, from to bottom, civil service, judiciary, military, state government, local government, town planning, superstructure etc.

From the above, it should become obvious if not clear that the effects or and repercussions of Corruption as it affects society is the consequence of the modern political state's failure and not the result of the peoples character.

A "good" prison isn't one in which prisoners are honest and law rules abiding of thire own violition.

Come to think of it, designing, organising and planing to run a model prison mightn't be all that different from what's required for the typical nation state undecided
