Gunmen Kill 2 Policemen, Injure 3 At Enugu Police Checkpoint by jaybenugo(op): 5:29am On Sep 23, 2021

Two policemen have been killed by unknown gunmen who attacked them at a checkpoint at Nachi community in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State on Wednesday, 22nd September 2021, IgbereTV reports.

The gunmen attacked the officers at about 9am, leaving three other officers with serious injuries. The officers were said to have died on the spot from the bullet wounds sustained during the attack.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Daniel Ndukwe who confirmed the incident said the Command had launched a full-scale investigation into the incident with a view to tracking down the assailants.

He said;

“Full-scale investigation that will lead to fishing out of the assailants has commenced. Further development will be communicated, please."

Is it only in the SE we'd have police checkpoint? Even in the FCT abuja police still mount checkpoint. You guys keep giving vague excuses to perpetrate your wanton arson.

If I was the IGP I'll post all Igbo policemen to their region which is mostly the case. Let them keep killing their armed trained personnel.

That South East police officers who always claims to be on duty at the check points are bunch of thieves. I keep laying courses on them each time I travel to Enugu. Despite the bad road they still frustrate the masses with extortion. Ipob, esn, UGM are the monsters made by the government. So let them face it n watch out for more dreadful groups.
