As long as each states utilize the VAT for the development and progress on their people. As long as it won't end in the foreign accounts of politicians in the states. We've talked about ranching many times here. This is how things are done in saner climes. Miyetti Allah need to give the good ones among their members all the re-orientation that things can be done the way it is done in civilized nations. The ONLY constant thing in life is CHANGE. The bill was not meant to attack anybody, but that it was all-embracing. Land resources were very important to the state, adding that the relationship between cattle herders and farmers should be symbiotic. A better Nigeria all around is all we want. God bless Adamawa State. God bless Nigeria. Our stand @ on everything related to this VAT issue below..... 9 Likes 4 Shares

Until we have the political will to scrap so of the abnormalities that has kept these country backward, this country will remain backward. The concept of Federal roads and state dependence on the federal purse should be scraped. States should be given more responsibilities and be allowed to control its resources and develop on its pace. The ealier we get rid of the status quo the better for us and the future generations. The status quo has failed. Let's practice true federalism like US and see how far it will take us. Change is dynamic. 13 Likes 4 Shares |

Kaduna1stson:and you think it is a north and south issue? a governor in rivers will give Julius Berger 200 billion naira contract for road and then a VAT of 7.5% will be deducted to be given to Kaduna state. what if the Rivers state governor refuses to do work in order to save his 7.5% of 200billion? is that then not encouraging kaduna state governor and northern governor's to continue being dormant and just using free money to marry? forget about the roadside argument about VAT for beer. that is not the issue. the main argument is why a governor will have to pay 7.5% of the contract sum he awarded in his state to another state governor who is receiving the same monthly subvention. VAT should be collected at the point where value is being added. hope it is simple enough to take in. 53 Likes 6 Shares |

JustforMen: It appears u don't know anything about vat. That's definitely not how it works. First of all, the FGN contributes about 65% of the entire vat so all the other states put together is about 35%. Moreover, the distribution of vat is not to take from one state to give another. Vat is collected collectively and shared to all the states. So even your so called rivers state also benefits from other states too. Further vat is a consumption tax, not production. So even if u produce in rivers state and sell in nassarawa, nassarawa will also be paying vat per product. As it is, FGN. Is able to collect the VAT from the source once and for all. But if u leave VAT to the states, it means that many businesses will die because each state will continue collecting VAT from the same company. It means that that your Julius berger will pay the same 7.5 over and over again in each state it has presence. Julius berger can cope, but what of small startups 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Northerners the lousy thieves, you want to steal lands and continue stealing VAT of resourceful states but your game is up. We know you leeches have Igp, president, cjn, agf etc but it still won't change anything as the South has unanimously started to deprive you northern smelling pigs the privileges that has survived you for years because of your ignorance and stupidity. You guys are poor bitches, get your VATs from almajiri begging, Boko Haram and terrorist Fulani bandits or your rotten tomatoes and overworked disease cow meat. When I see northerners in my region whether it's suya seller, shoe maker, trader or tailor I am very enraged in thoughts of how we should take on the terrorists and not let them enjoy any peace in the south. Very soon it will be a crime in the south to allow northerners here enjoy peace. F you all 10 Likes 1 Share |

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable ~ John F. Kennedy. When the only language an adversary understands is violence, then it must be spoken louder when communicating with the bastards. These quota-system almajiris have held down the South from progressing for ages and the Southerners that are being used as willing tools continue to bury their cursed heads in the sands - just for their selfish interests. I keep wondering why the South is agitating for the Presidency, which inevitably will still be sabotaged by these uncircumcised northern bastards like they did to Ebele Jonathan. The South should be clamoring for Resource Control. Without the Crude Oil of the Niger Delta, Nigeria is dead. Without the IGR of Lagos and Rivers States, Nigeria is dead. Abubakar Malami is a cursed, intellectually derelict, quota-system lawyer whose brainpower cannot even kindle a torchlight bulb. How an illiterate buffoon like this became the AGF in the land that have Kings and Chiefs is a mystery that is still being debated. This is the reason I curse Tinubu and all his supporters day & night for selling us cheaply to these uncircumcised Fulani bastards who think the Earth revolves only around them. There are powerful Military Generals from the South like Obasanjo who would rather showcase their tomfoolery by dancing skelewu in the media like a Peruvian Monkey instead of using their influence to curtail the excesses of these uncircumcised bastards. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers, we are ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations. If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence, and thereby eventually lose the ability to defend ourselves and those we love. With this level of injustice, If the North is in the shoes of the South, nobody needs a soothsayer or herbalist to know that Nigeria would have long ceased to exist. 12 Likes 2 Shares |
