Take jigawa state for example the state has no IGR but receives large sum from FAAC every month... the state has no policy to make business conducive for non indigenous persons.... As long as you are not a Christian they want you to leave like a slave in the state, so if the VAT can be stopped the government will try to make it convenient because we have businesses here and we are not valued |

The only reason why we dont engage in online insults, inmorality and propaganda is because North knows governance, systems, policies and principles of tolerance and respect.... Stop deceiving yourselves because of your large shamefull numbers online insulting north and Islam..... Nigeria is not an online nation! |

omoluka:So you have the gut to quote me? Useless bigot There's no parasite in this country only if you remove your bigotry glasses... Oil is less than 10% of Nigeria's GDP. They tell us we are the parasite and we are lazy and we are uneducated to instil a sense of guilt, self hate and inadequacy in us. We swallow all these falsehood uncritcally because we made our source of daily information their media and books. They over concentrate on our weaknesses and ignore almost completely their own weaknesses. An average Southerner having mild cold will almost by default blame it on Northerners and will not lack northerners who "speak the truth" to agree with him. How can uneducated people have multitude of unemployed graduates? How can lazy people be producig the food of the nation? Why do millions of Southerners troop to the poor parasitic North and refuse leave? |

Islie:The north will rather die than agree because this move is part of the moves that will nullify the excess children and almajiri they have stubbornly continued to produce in order to give Islam majority. So how can the south now put the burden of feeding their almajiri on their own head only? Day don break finally, the south must use all and every means no going back |

Northern state should not be afraid of vat. Rather it will help them in realizing thier potential since they claim to be the real Nigerians with the largest state... You no want contribute your share but you chop other people's hardwork. In the name of one Nigeria. |

Chigold101:You're right. But what would they do before they start generating money from their mineral resources? Or you don't expect, they'll propose, mine and start selling their resources all in one day. It will take years before the start seeing their ROI.. So how will they survive before then? |

[s] puzzlegate:[/s] 90% of the present problems of the North will fizzle away once the North becomes an independent unit. No single person from the North is afraid of break up of Nigeria. None whatsoever. And I am not sure too many Northerners are happy with the union either. But as general believers in patience, understanding that in the long run, thing may turn out well in spirit of solidarity with majority true Nigerians within the South, the North chose to stay in the Union. Trust me, if, perhaps we have constitutional provisions for referendum, any region, especially Biafra, if they chose Nnamdi Kanu @MaziNnamdiKanu than a union of Nigeria, the North will most emphatically welcome the outcome. With a huge relief. |

Ibkhaleel:The problem with you guys is deceit and taqqiya... The north was ever richer than the south....see below. The British treasury initially supported the landlocked Northern Nigeria Protectorate with grants, totalling £250,000 or more each year.[75] Its revenue quickly increased, from £4,424 in 1901 to £274,989 in 1910. The Southern Protectorate financed itself from the outset, with revenue increasing from £361,815 to £1,933,235 over the same period.[76] (Wiki) |

We can all see how it is politically with Nigeria, with southern and northern governors having different meetings and different opinions on how their regions must be administered. Is it not clear to us all that “one Nigeria” is becoming an illusion? The judgement of the court is supposed to favour the states and kickstart economic growth, but some northern state governors who believe that money to run their states must only come from the center, will work hard to block it. Unfortunately our northern brethren cry more of poverty. How can we have a minister of justice who seems to possess a different consitution from what others have? Is he afraid to confront other lawyers in court and have the matter thrashed once and for all? Or is he trying to leverage on the so called northern population advantage to keep southern states from moving forward? Let’s wait and hear from the northern governors today after their meeting. |

Osiris12:Malami is not a disgrace, oga. Malami represents the federal government. Being a party in this case, you don't expect him to be fair. BTW, by now you should have known that there's nothing fair and just about Nigeria. |

Ibkhaleel:You have all these since 1914 amalgamation. More than 100 years and you have not done anything with them, but depend on the south. What are you waiting for? Please spare us this long sermon. You could develop beef for export and others...but due to your intolerance (sharia), nepotism, and irritating born to rule attitude, you have used up all the good well of other Nigerians. And people are calling for restructuring, exit, VAT and resource control as well as state police, where you send northern police officers to head other region, they no nothing of the terrain. If there were equity, justice and fairness to all Nigerians, these issues will not arise. |

SmartPolician:You are very wrong. The first work of he is even international matters. He is the one to defend Nigerian in case of any international case. Secondly, to make legal documents for the federal government in case of purchase and other agreements. he is in no way to work for the executive as he is doing, but to be a guru who is to settle any case as the one at hand now looking directly and strictly into the constitution of Nigeria without even 0.01 twist of it. But his work right now has been limited to attorney general of the executive. |

You cannot use what you don't have, there are southern Deans of Faculties in the northern University because the north don't have it, or you think the South will employ illiterate to come and head their University, it will not happen, the most educated Deans of Faculties in the north is an illiterate in the South ok, northern Deans of Faculties are not there because they merit it, they are are there because of quote system, so they are not up to standard to head a university in the South Ibkhaleel: |

[s] preciousmetals:[/s] The North is far bigger in land mass & population than the South. It has the highest number of states & local governments. The North has some of the most powerful governors, senators, federal appointees, politicians both serving & retired in Nigeria. The North also has the richest men & biggest captains of industry in Nigeria. It has the highest number of military Generals both serving & retired. The North equally has its fair share of reknown & accomplished academics in Nigeria & abroad in foreign universities. The problem with southerners is that they are brainwashed and programmed into accepting the new word into their dictionary and applying it to every Northerner... The problem is if you ask most of them the meaning of quota system, they don't even know it. They are just saying it because that is one of the things they were made to believe. They're the victims of what Chimamanda Adichie called "Single Story" They're fed up with the story of negatives. Ndi Every Northerner Is A Product Of Quota System, Chew On This ... Do You Remember the Pacesetter, SARKI ABBA from KANO State ![]() In the cold hamattan of 1984, a Kano Indigene from SCIENCE Secondary School Dawakin Tofa did the unthinkable!!! He scored 9 distinctions (8 A1 and 1 A2) in his West African Senior School Certificate (WASC) Exams. This achievement seemed unrealistic and never happened that the authorities at Lagos assumed it was a cheat. In order to prove their assumptions right, a car was sent to pick up 16yr old Sarki Abba straight from Dawakin TOFA where he was made to retake the whole 9 exams in the duration of 3 days. After marking the rescheduled exams, he scored 9 A1 (the only 'A2' he had in English Language before the retake, became 'A1' resulted to 9 A1) Faced with shock, the Lagos authorities saved face by apologizing and instituting the National Merit Award making Sarki Abba its first recipient. In 1989/90 school session, also at 21, Sarki Abba graduated as OVERALL BEST Medical Student, OVERALL BEST Graduating Student at ABU, Zaria. Sarki was then invited to U.S.A where he continued his studies, work and lives there since then. Sarki Abba is presently a Professor of Urology and Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, USA. Also, MD, PhD, at the John T. Grayhack Professor of Urological Research. Prof. Sarki Abba's research program is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive cancer initiation, progression and recurrence with the ultimate goal of developing therapies that interfere with these processes. His work has particularly focused on Prostate Cancer. |
