There's a place in ikeja called coding center. They are expensive and very good. Very much worth the money but if you don't mind the extra work you can learn from udemy. Search for people that are python developers, communicate with them and check coding community around you.

Am a self-taught Python programmer(UDEMY, YouTube), learning has been hard cause of so many distractions. My parents ain't understanding, They think I am wasting my time on my laptop. So many distracting errands, and it's limiting my learning.

So I plan on going to a training center to learn to code and also due to the erroneous belief that my Parents possess that I have must a "certificate" in what ever I am doing...

I call on nairaland Elders to recommend a good computer ICT training center and maybe some career advice.

If you have a condusive environment and ease access to data, the best cheapest option is to download the trainings by different experts from youtube as well as the applicable apps. Make sure you also use their link to download their dataset/ exercises used in the video. Watch the videos, not like African magic, but rather watch, pulse and practice using the downloaded exercises on the apps. Package your CV stating your skills and trusting in God. You can only go for certs for courses that have internationally recognized certs. You don't need all those roadside training certs. They are overrated. Don't depend on UDEMY alone. You can get up to 10 or more videos from different experts on same course.

Try and master different downloading skills from youtube. There is no video that I want that I can't download from YouTube. Wish you well.

Possessing a certificate of proficiency in whatever you are doing is not erroneous, although actually having the needed skills is more important. You should however note that certificates can open doors for you as they are sometimes the key to getting into certain places.

Aptech is good they are everywhere in Lagos even in V.i

I learnt web design in Digital Dreams in 2014 at No 1, Chime Avenue... The CEO's name is Mr Edoga and he is a UI/UX experts who drilled me so hard. It was always tough to please him with your UI designs.

I was tutored by Mr Benny, Osas and Mr Ifeanyi then.

Wonderful guys who know their trade well.

It's been 7yrs but I still appreciate their work and will recommend then anytime, Any day (if they are still in operation) because they gave me good value for money.
