I just bought 4 pieces of three weeks old ducklings - 2 males and 2 females. Its my first time of raising ducklings. I open this thread to be posting their feeding and growth progress till maturity period. They will be in the cage till they reach 2months before I release them fully on free range with swimming water facility.

I am feeding them with starter mash for now because they are still small.

Stay tuned as I update the thread regularly as they grow. Their pictures below.

why are people this frustrated even on the internet. Your kind will see person do something good and still find a way to condemn that.

Why not just move on if you don't find his efforts good enough? Must you undermine them?

@OP: Are the mesh spaces no to big for thier feet? I have this feeling thier feet could easily slip through them since ducks are not good perchers.

It's definitely muscovy

Why didn't you go for the matured once instead of duckings.

Yea... Its duck. I just love them and wish to experience rearing them.

I have all of them. I have turkey, boiler, broiler hand cockerels. I jst wish to experience ducks too.

Even one of my noilers incubate hand hatch �

Are expensive to buy.
Can not be familiar with ur compound easily in case you want to rear them on Free range.

So u train them from baby.

As they get bigger, their feet will adapt to the mesh. I even plan of relocating them to another cage soon. So they will feel more comfortable there.

My Birds are 6 weeks today and doing fine. You can see they are bigger now.

They are feeding on Chicken feed mixed with Pap waste (Eri Ogi).

I use pink dye for the white... They are beautiful.

Good evening all. I lost all my little ducklings to cold as a result of the water they entered in the pix above.

Just because I love to raise ducks too, I bought another set of 5 ducklings (1 week old) to replace them last week on the 17th. Nov. Lesson is learnt now.

I will upload their pix below. I will be updating the thread on their growth.
