I have an Elepaq 2.5kva that runs 5hrs on 3 litres fuel and i have another Tec Hustler (digital voltmeter) 3.75kva that runs for 2hrs on same 3 litres. Elepaq powers only 1000watts dry iron while Tec powers 2200watts steam generating iron + two energy saving bulbs. I felt the Tec fuel consumption is on the higher side.


Gurus in the house, what can i do to reduce Tec's fuel consumption?

Its not too high. The Tec is bigger than the Elepaq, so it will naturally consume more. The main difference is in the power of the pressing iron, to compare, use the 1000W iron on the Tec, you'll notice a huge difference in consumption.

I have this small generator. It was not starting after they serviced it, so they came back and said it was the plug terminal which they changed(he used the one in his bag) and it started and worked. But now it will be working and then off then when I will change the plug it will work for sometime and then after some say 10 hours working, it will off and if I change plug it will work again (this is the plug that was in it before o)

Is it possible that the gen is killing the plug because I have 3 plugs now and when I change to any of them, the gen will start but off after doing plenty shakara.

Pls what could be the issue, might it be the same terminal? I am thinking of buying a new terminal since the one he used to change was old.

Pls help!!!

my phones kinda bad now
we could discuss on here
last time we chatted you couldn't really say if the gen consumed fuel and i asked you to get just 1ltr
haven't been able to get on whatsapp since then

ps: mines still functioning great
infact i just discovered 2 factors that aid great fuel consumption


1: GOOD spark plug , if spark pug isnt firing well u tend to consume more fuel
2: little tweaking (will post soon )

mine was doing the same thing until I changed the ignition coil and carburetor together. It once start ever since.

First change your ignition coil.

Last last, it was the valve… dirty don block am.
So the spring wasn’t going back and forth…it was stuck.

After cleaning and scraping off the dirt and all..
It worked.


An Engineer did it tho.

look like the one at the middle is too tight. Loose the one at the middle a bit and check again.

The one at the middle control the fuel inflow to the combustion chamber.

Also it gets uncontrollably high and loosening the first one makes it quieter and it goes off

that first one is the limiter. It increases or decreases the firing.

For all the load you listed and probably more in the near future, i would suggested you get 6000w (7.5kva) generator. I would recommend Thermocool gen cos i am using one, and the experience has been awesome. You can go to any haier-thermocool official store to check the gen and current price. You can also checkout original Sumec Fireman (don't know anything about them though). Which ever you decide to buy, make sure you buy from their official store (Thermocool) or accredited dealers (Sumec). Goodluck

Can this model-Sumec Fireman last for more than year considering the nature of the business. The gen would probably be on from 9am-9:30pm practically everyday. One p2game,32" tv, chargers and desktops over 120sockets and four bulbs

Although he doesn't have much,he wants to make a smart purchase.

For that kind of business, he needs constant electricity all day. This mean his gen would run from morning till night, assuming their is no power supply from NEPA. This would make a smaller gen give in quicker. I have a neighbour who is into similar biz, he bought a used 2.5kva gen, used it for some months and then buys half engine. Your bro can try this too, but he should go with a trusted technician to help him get a good used gen. Wish him all the best
