Igbos knew the military still had a dominating sway. Look at what happened to Shonekan. Look at how he was so easily pushed out of the way by Abacha.
Igbos are more intelligent than you guys realise. The northern military officers would have toppled him, if they had felt he was acting against the northern interest

Then vote for Ogbonnaya Onu, even though we Igbos don't want him.

I personally prefer Prof. Muoghalu. A large chunk of Igbos prefer Peter Obi
