FlipModeSquade:To IPOB sympathizers and cheerleaders, there is a Hausa proverb that says: "yaro bari murna, karen ka ya kama zaki" meaning: "oh boy (hunter), cease jubilating that your dog caught a lion". Interpretation: A boy from afar 'sees' his dog caught a lion and started celebrating, but as he got closer he found out that it was indeed his dog that was caught, and by then it was already too late to save himself from the lion. Lesson: one should hold off, use his senses to ascertain most probable outcomes, before celebrating. Indeed what we see unfolding in SE is an exact reminiscence of boko haram at its inception... They started as one organized group, wining 'heart and minds' of the general masses in NE using religion fanaticism to forment anti-govt sentiments , until they started loosing their foot soldiers who decided their leaders aint doing enough to accomplish their crazy ambitions. Foot soldiers who want to become bosses in their own rights went to form their own BH enclaves, rest is history. For at least a decade now, they have become the very nemesis of their former sympathizers. If God forbid, the Dejavu we are witnessing continues to play out, the whole south may not be able to accommodate number of fleeing masses from Igbolands. Considering strong anti-igbo sentiments sweeping the country (thanks to IPOB and their sympathizers), there's no choice but to flee to non-igbo communities and regions? God help us! |
