The Russians don't consider them as legally soldiers in their arms forces. They're just militants, or assassins that they use in operations that they can deny.

The US led troops that they attacked called for backup from the US government who then sent aircrafts as reinforcements.
The private contractors couldn't call for any backup from russia because they are not officially their soldiers. Those militants have their own will and can take decisions for themselves, and not from the Russian govt unless when in a secret deniable operation.

Also, read the full article you're reach where it was stated that those private soldiers attacked the US group just to test them. Us replied by sending aircrafts.

There's nothing like a weapon Combat tested or just tested when you talk about weapons mate. It's like saying a gun which I just shot today, it worked perfectly would risk not working when I take it into combat.

It is true that both China and Russia don't have open treaty between china and Russia, but that is exactly how the Russian and Syrian govt is too. There are no alliance agreement between them, but anyone who actually knows shit about what's going would know that they're both allies even when there are no treaty. Russia openly said the Chinese are friends. They have conducted joined military drills together, Chinese tanks alongside Russian tanks, side by side. It would be stupid for anyone wait for the treaty to be made public before acknowledging their alliance, man.

Meanwhile, the USA never said they would help Taiwan in any battle physically. I just don't know if you guys are deliberately skipping that part.
