2023: Where Nigeria’s President comes from, not important ― Atiku

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has said Nigerians are not bothered where their next President will come from but are hopeful of a leader desirous of addressing the challenges facing the nation.

Atiku stated this in his brief remarks at the 94th National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the party in Abuja on Thursday.

“PDP has the right to determine how the party should be run and Nigerians have the right to determine how the country should be governed. The problem of Nigerians has never been where the President comes from,” he said.

Exactly! If a Fulani is deemed fit to run the state again in 2023 lets vote him.

After the Civil war came the first republic and hadn't the same Buhari not truncated that government, Dr. Alex would have probably stood for the UPN and won overwhelming despite being Igbo.

1993 elections also prove this theory right where 2 Muslims were on the ballot and won convincingly.

In 1999, Dr. Alex also stood for PDPs ticket against Obj, and that could have gone either way.

Dr. Odili could have succeeded Obj in 2007 if they didn't have some differences.

Imagine Yaradua completed his 8 years, don't you think we would have been curious about giving Buhari or an Atiku a chance?

The death of Yaradua caused a disbalance in our Political field, and Jonathan somehow made things worse by insisting on continuing and performing woefully. If Jonathan had won in 2015, don't u think Tinubu would have been the forerunner in 2019?

These are my thoughts sha, I'm not a political juggernaut/analyst, I don't like Nigeria politics.

I must clearly say i do bother, anything short of SOUTH is a No No for me and any party that will make the mistake to zone the President back to North will lose.

Finally I pray for Peter Obi or Makinde they all have all it takes to repair the damages caused by Buhari and APC led government.

In 2015 Atiku changed party when they said the president must come from the north and PDP was not interested in zoning the presidential slot to the north. Now he is saying rubbish
