Premium times is a very big joke ,writing for political reasons will make your report very shallow and myopic, i was reading through to see where the secret records of Peter been the sole owner of the offshore company, but did not see any, but they said he lied that the company was not jointly owned but failed to provide proves to gazzet same.

When you are reporting for political reasons, this is what you will get ,you said he broke the law ,but failed to tell us the section of the law he broke. but finds it difficult to substantiate your claim. Maybe premium times are not only a journal company but a law court .

I don’t give a Bleep and I didn’t read. When other leaders stuck to their lying ways about the reports, claiming they were false and the machinations of political opponents, Uhuru Kenyatta stuck to his guns — fashioning the report to paint himself as a saint and saviour of his country. The man claimed reports of this sort will lead to transparency in African governance. As in ehn, I was blown away. The man owned up to his actions. Now this means nobody in his country can do pim regarding the matter, a sad case yet admirable when compared to politicians of developed and poor nations alike who cowered like scared children.

Well said bro. At this point I’ve come to believe that Nigerians deserve the leaders they have and will get, with all you’ve rightly pointed out about Obi and his achievements then someone would still come out to call him a fraud and vote a Tinubu or Malami instead. I don’t have any more sympathy for the citizens honestly

Modified
Also let me quickly point out that TAX AVOIDANCE is not a crime anywhere in the world. It might be unethical but it’s definitely not illegal and literally any entrepreneur or businessman operating on that kind of scale will usually find a loophole around paying exorbitant taxes and reduce that.

I am surprised we are here buying premium times mounting pressure on obi.

Are we blind not to know it's basically to taint his image and truncate his political ambition?
Is it not clear to us all some people somewhere r pushing premium times..I used to enjoy their selfless journalism style, but on this pandora matter, they have taken obi's issue too far, for what if I may ask.

The man was not even accused of corruption. Nobody is stressing the looting done by others on the paper. Just a non disclosure of legit wealth is causing so much noise. Non disclosure shocked

Please take this falsehood outta my face.

He invested $30million of state money there, it’s now worth $100million and it’s still there. No other state in this country has such investment.

He did it for the state and they're still benefitting from it. Do you think he didn't have his own cash to put in the business? He made sure he has no personal biz with it while in office.

You see how you still wanna discredit a good move all in an effort to daint his image.

Buhari: have you found anything to indict that boy called Peter?

EFCC boss: Sir, we have checked every records, books and all what not. But we couldn't find anything to indict him and prosecute him.

Buhari: So, what do we do.....you must find something and indict him. I give you 3months or you will be fired.

EFCC boss: Ok sir. ......but what if we accuse him of being that Peter that denied Christ?

Buhari: Fantastic!

This is contrary to the position of the Constitution, which specifies the declaration of all assets, whether jointly or partly owned, PREMIUM TIMES’ reporters told Mr Obi. He said he was not aware of that provision of the law. Nevertheless, leaked records show Mr Obi is the sole ultimate beneficial owner of the offshore companies. So he lied in claiming to be a part-owner.

Obi Pandora. Hahahaha.

Peter, the son of Obi is a fraud.

The report didn't say he stole from anambra state but that he didn't declare offshore assets he owned before he became governor.
These are businesses he built overseas long before he was governor so yes he broke the law but he's now a yam eater as he never stole public funds.

So I ve got no issue with him at all. My grouse is with those who stole public funds and hide them not a hard working man like obi.

Even the Nigerian government can't be trusted with the trust.

The man is the biggest crook and liar in Nigeria. He never remitted one naira back to the state. And amount he diverted to revive his ailing businesses might be bigger than that since most of these hidden companies are just being exposed.

He was asked why he used the state money to revive his moribund businesses and he responded that it was a joint ventures between the state and his businesses (always tried to tag it family businesses). Then, he was asked how much has the business remitted back to the state government pulse, you knew what he said? He said that he didn't know whether profits were remitted back to the state or not, that was many years after the diversion.

Obi is just like any other crook Nigerian politician, nothing exceptional about him at all.

Honestly I wonder why Peter Obi is wasting his time trying to explain himself to these bunch of losers who haven't managed to grow a provision shop talk less about building and managing chains of businesses.
Peter Obi is an excellent manager of asset and resources, that's why he was successful, he brought his excellent skills to work for Anambra state and judiciously managed Anambra resources that it saved Anambra from reckless financial crisis when other states were broke and begged the FG to bail them out. His managerial abilities was so top-notch that even after living government house, Pastor Poju invited him to come speak on 'The Platform' about financial discipline and how he successfully turned and saved Anambra from economic doldrums. Even the current governor of Oyo state whom I hear is an astute business man has invited him over to rub minds together.
Peter Obi has never projected himself to be 'holier than the pope'. He's only trying prove to his fellow Nigerians that there's a solution to Nigeria's reckless, wasteful and imprudent financial practices. But the Nigerians that I know will allow bigotry and tribal sentiments becloud their sense of good reason and open-mindedness. Nigerians aren't smart when it comes to selecting competent leaders and it's sad to know that .
As for Peter Obi, he should stop filling the need to explain himself to haters. Peter Obi has been out of office since 2013 and yet Buhari hasn't pinned him down for wrong doing. 'Peter nothing do you, carry go' I wish you could even mentor him personally on how to prudent with scarce resources because I'm suffering 'spiritual financial recklessness' grin grin
