It is true that London is expensive but not to the extent of complaining of £500 rent and moving to another country within the UK in order to pay less rent. If you met job requirements for VISA at £35k during your time, you will not leave London even for £1k rent, and if you moved to Wales, you will equally look for mortgage or rent within that range as befitting your standard of living and earning power.
