Kanunta Kanu, the younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says the secessionist movement is disinterested in politics of the Southeast region of Nigeria.

This is as the Anambra State election 2021 is fast-approaching.

Kanu wonders why ‘all of a sudden, Nigerian authorities believe in negotiation’ vis-à-vis his elder brother Kanu and the Biafra cause’.

lately, authorities in Nigeria are seeking to negotiate with IPOB which is expected to culminate in the release of Nnamdi Kanu,

Kanu tweet:

“Most politicians in #Biafraland are now Nolly wood actors and actresses. #IPOB have no interest in politics in South East.
#zoo media could write whatever thing they want, #ESN will remain.
#Biafrans must be safe in #Biafraland.
#FreeMaziNnamdiKanuNow,” Kanu wrote on his known Twitter handle on Thursday.



IPOB is seeking independence for ethnic Igbo of the region, and its armed wing Eastern Security Network (ESN) have been blamed by the Nigeria government for the violence, but IPOB has denied the charges.

In July, Nnamdi Kanu was abducted, in Kenya, and brought back to Nigeria to face treason charges.

Kanu’s IPOB is attempting to revive the now defunct Republic of Biafra, a declaration of independence which led to a 30-month civil war between 1967 and 1970.

More than one million people, mostly Igbo, were killed in the fighting or by starvation and disease.

Attribution of killings ongoing in the east to politics makes it looks like it politically motivated, while it's crystal case of terrorist acts by Ipob/esn.

It is the federal government that wants to negotiate with Kanu but Kanu won't go into negotiation unless he's released from detention

I guess even his lawyer is showing willingness to negotiate, all he is asking the FG to do is to let his client out of custody before any negotiation could take place

The federal government got nothing on Kanu from malami's body language yesterday so the best thing they want to do now s to negotiate Kanu's release

Don't be deceived. Just a feeble APC trick. I read somewhere that Hope Uzodinmma made a narrative to the effect that FG should compensate SouthEast for civil war losses. Uzodinmma of all people If you really believe these fake men to be sincere, then you'll probably believe that a python can swallow millions of cash Naira.
