Good evening house, I just stumbled on this thread, I lost my passport long ago.
Please what are the steps I need to get another one. Please I need help urgently anyone with experience. Or is it possible to reapply for a new passport.
An agent is also demanding 100k because the passport is lost.

You reference must have a passport. Affidavit will fix the birth cert vs NIM issue.

Collected my passport today from Alausa office, 10 years, 64 pages.
100% DIY for renewal.
Started the process August 18, did data capturing on August 26.
Passport was issued on September 1, (just 1 week as opposed to the official 3 weeks).
The only thing was that I never got notification about the passport being ready and if I hadn’t been too lazy to go and check myself, I would have gotten it much earlier.
I can testify that Alausa is DIY-friendly, well, provided that there are no scarcity issues.
