You see.. You just can't hide your intentions.. He is now a 10 goals a season player? His first season at a new club where he missed games due to injury and covid-19, and not to mention Napoli selfish style of play...

I got bad news for you mate, that 10 goals a season striker is on his way to netting more than twice what he scored last season... I hope you are man enough to remain here at the end of th season...

You and your likes are the ones calling our players overhyped, just in desperate attempts to defend to fraud in charge of the team...

One of the overhyped players just gave an assist against Man Utd...Another one just scored in Germany...

Keep pushing your agenda...

Why must people denigrate a player just to hail another player. You can celebrate and make your point without having to insult another Nigerian player. Sometimes, people here really behave like they’re paid agents or middle man for certain players. A player that scored 19 goals last season as an overhyped player

You are alone on that. I have moved on from Eze because we have pushed enough for him. As for Olise, I never really liked him as a solution to our AM position, he is better suited as a CM or on the RW, so I ain't losing sleep over him. Anjorin is the koko for me now

Without an additional AM next year afcon forget any possibility of creativity when iwobi is sub off or injured

The only way to solve that besides having any of the aforementioned kids above is for ROHR to make the players practice "passing techniques" teach them how to create and detect open space through PASSING of the ball which I doubt the coach can

My brother that man is a dinosaur stuck in the the ancient past of football tactics. 5 years on SE has no playing philosophy, no pattern, no identity. And these are crucial elements of every successful team.

Ejuke is no bonafide #10. He can slot into the role sometimes in a makeshift role and even as an SS but he is not the player I want executing that role.

He is much better served from the wings especially the LW.

I believe some folks are just drawn to how much nostalgia his dribbling gives them which screams Okocha. grin

Exactly

If he gets to play with Iwobi both inter change sometimes depending on who is with the ball
But he needs to learn how and when to release the ball

Read the post you quoted again but slowly this time. The bolded (outscoring opponents) was in reference to Siasia's style, especially his Nigerian teams.

And what were you expecting Amunike's Tanzania to achieve at the Afcon in a group that had African Heavyweights in Senegal and Algeria? Did you actually watch them play or you just checked the final scoreline?

So you didn't see the efforts to play on the front foot made by Amunike's Tanzanian teams at Afcon 2019. If they had averagely good Midfielders, they would have done more. Amunike used those inferior talents and still was able to create 3 big chances against Algeria that were squandered. They lost that game 3-0 but what would have been had they taken their chances?

Tanzania didn't have half enough of the talents Amunike needed to make even better impact yet he was able to get them to the Afcon proper after 39 years. Why couldn't any other coach do that for Tanzanian football before him since 1980??

So please, before you criticise Amunike's stint with Tanzania, take the time to actually observe his tactical plays while with them. Rohr with that Tanzanian team could have done far worse and not achieved near half of what Amunike achieved with them. And that is fact from a technical/tactical POV.

I know it was in reference to Siasia Amuneke is guilty of it too
While managing Tanzania in last afcon he wasn't too good in managing a lead think not against Senegal or algeria....the other minor team they played

Exactly
Those bunch indigenous coaches failed
The painful thing is that after been relieved of their jobs they barely go develop themselves or acquire more skills to help them do better

They keep rally round to be recycled into the system and fumble again the cycle continues

Oga Kog, 2005 u-20 final against same Argentina, the referee and Messi cheated us (2 fluke penalties).
That is the reason I dislike Messi till today. Dived to win two fortuitous penalties against us while Obasi/Ogbuke scored one of the most incredible goals in footy.
Most of those players played for both sides in that Olympic final, so Argentina was not that superior to us.
Even Messi was anonymous in that game, the pass to Di maria was his major highlight! Had it been Sia1 was not sentimental, we could have won.
Also, as a SE coach, he kept inviting that useless Okoronkwo not until the media started raising eyebrows.
Kog45:
Faby you said we could have won the final with Anichebe and beating Argentina would have been easy with Messi and remember our own talisman Mikel couldn't make it.

I have a question to ask do you remember the last time we beat Argentina in a proper tournament?

If Chuks is fully fit, he benches Pino any day any time.

Chuks that benched a whole Take Kubo. Pino himself has not been as much of a threat as Chuks was before he injured. The main attacking outlet right now in Villareal is Danjuma, it was Chuks until he injured.

Chuks will have to fight back to that team ,but what do I know ? But you see Danjuma nobody go bench that one ,chuks and pino will be 50/50

Pino is up there for the golden boy award and has made his debut for the Spanish team and you think unai emery will drop him immediately because Chuks is back ? Dude already got 3 Laliga assists in 6 games

Kubo no sabi anything ,stop making it look like kubo is Greenwood ,kubo no sabi anything and he was never in any position to be ahead of Chuks ,so which one come be a whole kubo ??

The 1990s and early 2000s where the period when most people had so much passion for our national teams.. Nowadays, club football has taken over.. It is when world cup and AFCON starts that most people start showing interest in the national team....

Unpopular Opinion:

If Ivory Coast meets Algeria in the 3rd round, they will prevail. They are not like the minnows the Algerians have been dominating and have an extremely talented offensive unit that can dismantle Algeria's defense. It'll be close showdown no doubt!

Algeria have a better manager.. That would give them an advantage...
This Ivorian team is star studded,no doubt... Ivory Coast has always parade a star studded squad for a few decades now..
The problem is that they have always underachieved...

Until they meet, Algeria definitely have the tactical advantage

No mata how poor Rohr is, which is admitting the truth sha, these indigenous coaches just sabi paper column arguments and interviews, asif it would help anybody or even themselves. Very sickening those years at all levels of football. Epic failure most of them were.

And as you said, they don't develop themselves to make themselves marketable after one or two failures. Just sitting expecting to wake up to a fill in the gap job somewhere. Asif they don't even follow club football in Europe or South America. Only recently a few of them are eager to go for coaching education.

That being said, Rohr na Carpernter in Chief.
