Unpopular Opinion:

If Ivory Coast meets Algeria in the 3rd round, they will prevail. They are not like the minnows the Algerians have been dominating and have an extremely talented offensive unit that can dismantle Algeria's defense. It'll be close showdown no doubt!

Football isn't just about having superstars and you need a solid coach to assemble your team correctly. If not, you won't maximize your potential. The present Algeria isn't as star studded as IVC, but, the way their coach set them, it makes them hard to be defeated

It has almost finished though

I just love the way the Enyimba players are moving the ball around with confidence, especially the defenders. I am loving their composure and flow of passes. Finito might be onto something good.

Rohr is the coaching equivalent of Buhari
No matter how bad Rohr is,no one should compare buhari to him.

Bu'ari is by far d worst president in d world.
One can't mention any positive thing he has done for nigeria since he became president,
Rohr did well at least for d few years especially the qualifiers before he started performing badly .

Rohr Intensifies Search For New Number 10 For Super Eagles, Targets Russia Based Anjorin

The quest to have a playmaker for the senior national team of Nigeria has pushed coach of the team Gernot Rohr all the way to Russia to make quick checks on former Chelsea teen midfielder Faustino Anjorin.

Anjorin now plays in Russia for Lokomotiv Moscow after failing to stamp his authority in the first team of Chelsea since making his European debut in the Champions League against Russian side Krasnodar in 2020.

His first involvement with the first team of Chelsea came in 2019 when he played in the Carabao Cup against Grimsby Town. So highly rated is he that he has played for England at every junior level up to U19.

A senior team bow doesn’t look certain for the 19 year old instead it is Nigeria who are now keen on having him in their squad where a playmaker is badly needed as the Super Eagles shape up for the business end of the World Cup qualifiers.

He is eligible for Nigeria through his father who has taken a step further by introducing his son to some officials of the Nigerian team putting him on the radar of Rohr, who is keen on having more options in midfield.

It’s still very early to say he is having a good season in Russia but he has so far played in six games this season with four coming in the league and two in the Europa League, where he scored on his debut.

Oga Kog, 2005 u-20 final against same Argentina, the referee and Messi cheated us (2 fluke penalties).
That is the reason I dislike Messi till today. Dived to win two fortuitous penalties against us while Obasi/Ogbuke scored one of the most incredible goals in footy.
Had it been Sia1 was not sentimental, we could have won.
Also, as a SE coach, he kept inviting that useless Okoronkwo not until the media started raising eyebrows.

What kinda biased analysis is this? I am not sure you watched that game..
Adeleye and James committed school boys errors and Adeleye was even lucky not to get a yellow card for his erronous tackle on messi..

FYI, before you spew another word, i am not a fan of messi.

Make una forget this local teams stuff. In this Era of football, our local teams are still in 1930.

That does not mean the talents are 1930. They are not well harnessed due to the system on ground. Which means there might be hidden gems there.

2. Stade Baraki

The Algeria team that cannot beat Burkina Faso will beat Ivory Coast? The hype this Algeria team gets on this platform is laughable. One would think they beat everybody 3nil on their way to winning the 2019 AFCON. Don't mind them jare!
Ppogbae:

At AFCON, they went to penalties. Ivory Coast is a formidable side and are more than capable of beating Algeria. It ain't far fetched.

This is what I'm trying to get at. This isn't to say that Ivory Coast will steamroll them but they are capable of beating them on aggregate. When you look at Algeria's impressive run they've only faced a handful of competitive opposition such as Nigeria and Senegal which they've beaten by a single goal. They drew with with Mexico. And Colombia is the only high level opponent they defeated convincingly (3-0). They've only been able to walkover African minnows. This isn't to say that their run isn't impressive but we have to be realistic and put things into context.

I don’t believe this jare, Rohr have never been eager to get a new number 10. When he was eager for a new keeper we saw how he went after Uzoho and okoye
