Anyways, queer characters haven't existed in media since the dawn, thus we are currently living in a phase where they're rapidly trying to catch up. But there's two main concept:

They are made by the god Zeus from clay....(just like Biblical or Quranic scriptures).

They go off the island every once in a while and have sex with men. Come back and have the baby on the island.

They kidnap sailors, fvvk them and then kill them. Keep the baby if it's female. Kill it if it's XY. or abandon it.

Well you never know oppression until you are put in the shoes of under represented minorities. There are lots of queer characters from comics to other source materials that were straight washed but no one batted an eyelid because it didn't affect us. Anne Rice threw a fit when studios tried to straight wash her protagonist in her "vampire Chronicles" series, thankfully she's bought back the rights and she will be involved in the production of "interview with the vampire" series. Comicbook characters from Mystique to Stakar to Harley Quinn have been straight washed and no one said a thing but a minor representation and we get our wings in a bunch. I don't really care though if a character is queerwashed or straight washed because at the end of the day they are all fictional, do that to a non-fictional character and I will be pissed off

Imagine if in the next Tomb Raider, Lara Croft becomes a man, or James Bond becomes gay, or Charlie's Angels become men, or Spider-Man's Aunty becomes an uncle.

No need to imagine @bolded, it is 100% a possibility, and i won't be surprised if these happen in no distant time,because the Scenario that would enable all of these to happen is well and truly on the way. You just have to move with the time...we live in an extremely capitalist world now and the greatest "cash cow" is seemly appealing to these demographic i.e LGBTQ, feminist etc.
