Not totally true. In the US serious crimes that may involve whatshap could call for whatshap to produce the records, and whatshap has to comply since its a US company.

But thats on case by case basis, I dont understand the technology Nigeria intends to use to monitor everyone's whatshap communication when even the Federal and State governments are not even speaking same language. Its a white elephant project IMHO. Intended to steal public funds.
