My type is the funny ones. My ambitions are the crazy type.

Well, I have always want to experience and explore the Lagos lifestyle due to my ambitions and business acumen.

I'm the techie type and highly business inclined.

I'm into some online business (E-commerce, &Freelancing) but since late last year, it has been rough. Some of my friends that had similar issue were able to resolve theirs or ventured into other businesses but I'm still running round the circle.

Of course, I strong believe environment plays a big path in human growth and development.

I live in the east at the moment, and my environment has been beneficial so far, but I think I needed to change to a more competitive and exposed environment to attain the next level.

Lagos has been on my mind due to recent advice from my mentor and few of my online friends all base in Lagos and doing well for themselves.

Now, NYSC was only hope of breaking into the Lagos atmosphere but my department hasn't been helping matters.

I'm still a semi-fresh graduate that wants to make way for my generation.

I graduated since 2019 had issue with my result which has been resolved but my department has been to lazy to post our results for approval and our chances of going for Batch C stream II is almost very slim.

The next batch is by next year possibly March or April.

And I don't think I can wait till then. My parents are no longer comfortable seeing me around even though I don't stay with them.

And yes, our relationship has been poor since then.

I don't really have much for rent, but if I can get a an affordable good place with good electricity and water I will survive and make way for myself.

I have tried making inquiries from few online friends and distant relations, their suggestions and ideas for choosing a good location in Lagos has been contradicting.

But then, I will make the move and strong I will break out.

My question would be, what's the cost for one bedroom selfcon and a location with good electricity and security.

Abeg make Una help me, I no fit sleep well for months now....I wan come Lagos

PS: Sorry for my long epistle.

Cost of accommodation in Lagos depends on the area. Where exactly is your preferred location or what's you budget?
Re: I Want To Relocate To Lagos, Have No Where To Stay For The Moment! by Nobody: 1:55am On Oct 17, 2021
The minimum you can get is 200k/year in areas like Mushin, Agege, Bariga, Ketu, Iyana Ipaja, Ikorodu, Fadeyi, Ojuelegba/Lawason Alagbado, Oworonshoki, Abule Egba, Egbeda, Okoko, Igando, Ikotun, Ayobo etc.

You may be lucky to have water in the house. For electricity, that's another war. Estimated billing is killing people in Lagos.

If 200k is too much for you and you still want to stay in Lagos, your next option is face-me-I-face-you house. You can get that between 60k-120k per year. You will share toilet and bathroom with as many co-tenants you have. You will source for water yourself. Hope you have muscle, it will be required once in a while to defend yourself.

Note, in any of the option, you will pay commission, agreement and caution fee. At least 120k for these.

Other monthly charges that may apply are LAWMA, compound cleaners and security fees.

Agents will also collect at least 5k from you before they show you any house.

Please where in Egbeda is this camp located? Name? Phone no? Address? I have a couple of people who will be very interested. Is it open all through the year? Is it open to all and sundry? Any website to peruse information or book a bedspace ahead of time? Sorry for the plenty questions.

Hello there,

I couldn't help but comment, especially after reading your diary.

You remind me so much of myself, except I rarely have a bad turn out with a client.

They always love my delivery.

Just like you, I graduated 2019, and currently looking for a place in Lagos too.

Money isn't really the problem, but getting a place.

I'm from the east too.

Get in touch with me via my signature let's talk.

Perhaps we can help each other.

Shalom.

Nwannem, if you're serious, then I'll advice you check out Ipaja Ayobo area of Lagos.

Cost of selfcontain ranges between 70k to 120k. For the one of 70k, tiles no go dey o, plus you gat dey fetch water, but if you want something with tiles, enough space and water, plus a neat compound, then budget between 100-130k per annum. Very conducive, no security challenge, and since you work online, light is stable in areas around NEPA, Amule, Megida, Alhaja, Makinde

But if you want to move here, just be ready to dey greet elderly ones wella, and no follow people drag. Peradventure you're a "hustler", you'll never be bored as this area na melting point for online workers, and there are lots of hotels around for you to flex.
