Seun with his multiple accounts opened this thread. Mscheew. This place is full of children who constantly throw insults at elders they’ll never meet in the real world. Nothing more and nothing less. The authority who are supposed to make things organized and family friendly are the major contributors to its lunacy.

Information gotten from here has really transformed me academically, morally and financially.
I read minimum of 200 updates/topics here on a daily basis. At times when I have issue and I try to search on nairaland, to my surprise I would notice that someone also had similar challenge and had provided solutions as far as 2015.

I got good paying jobs from this platform even when I was working towards been self employed I still found all the guides on nairaland. Also my mini importation and e-commerce skills were derived from nairaland.

Still on nairaland, I got information on a particular freelance service which I chatted the person that posted the information and he said I would pay N2,000 to get the complete info., I begged him that I would pay N1,000 and he agreed then I transferred the 1k upfront. The good news is that from the information the guy shared with me, I have made over N900,000 in this 2021.

Knowing this forum has been an immesly humbling experience for an introvert like me, nairaland has broading my knowledge in every aspect of life. Thank God for my gee that introduced me to this great forum back then in 2011 in Eziobodo futo, I comot cap for you were ever you are today @chiboy.

I've gained alot from Nairaland. However, Nairaland needs to stop tribalism and tribalistic comments on it platform. It is here on Nairaland I had the notion as a Yoruba that " Igbo hate Yoruba so much - especially Muslims" and I think many igbos have same experience (Yoruba hate Igbo) here too.

I'm a corp member that will be passing out on Friday(south east corpers) and I have no job awaiting me, I can work for Nairaland as a tribalistic comment removal and people blocker with very little payment. Thanks very much as you consider my application.

I know the Toxicity is just a minor setback but it has helped me in many ways but I'll list the major ones.

1. It opened my eyes on the real political situation of the country and made me realize how rotten and decay our political sector is... No president can make this country better until the laws used in creating the country are changed.
2. It helped me know that there's still a lot of hidden undiscovered talent in this country. I discovered this when I entered the literature section ( which is what brought me to nairaland in the first place).
I got to know that Nollywood producers are just lazy with their awful storylines because there are good story writer's out there... Imagine if a stories like DELAYED DIAGNOSIS, MY MADAM AND I, HIS NEIGHBOR'S WIFE were all made into movies, they would be instant hits internationally.
3. I have also gotten advice from people on how to handle difficult problems I had no idea on how to start taking care of.
4. This platform has increased my knowledge on a lot of feilds and topic both in and out of the country for example I never knew much about Russia and kind of despised the country due to the Western media but after reading the travel diary about that Nigerian student who schooling in St. Petersburg, I became fascinated by the country and got to know that the country wasn't as bad as potrayed.
5. Finally a nairalander once gave me free data, when i didn't even ask (it might not have been a big deal to many but it meant a lot to me).

If you can look beyond the Toxicity, political bigots, tribalism and religious fanatism , this is a wonderful forum

I got all the necessary information for my visa application. Finally, I don Japa from Nigeria

I cherish Nairaland so much cos it was very instrumental at the starting point of my career. I got my first two jobs through Nairaland (both multinationals) and those jobs equipped me with the knowledge and skill set that have enabled me to grow in my career path over the years.

I have helped many people get job by posting the job vacancy here. . I worked with a school in 2017. I didn't stay long before I got another job with state government. The proprietress was not happy, cos of the stress of getting a replacement. I told her not to worry cos Debbie's thread on job vacancy got my back. I placed advert for the position I was leaving, immediately 7 persons applied and the proprietress was so happy.

Since 2017, any time they have a placement she will call me. The relationship has been great.

If mum doesn't give me 3k as a student (feeding money for a month), I'd starve.

But from naira land, I was able to put stuffs together and now average 70k or more monthly without living my room.

I'm still jobless though.

During my Jambite days, I met my first friend here in nairaland. We both gained admission to Uniuyo and he later on became our course rep.

One of the oldest members in this forum. I have learned a lot through this forum. I went broke but feel shame to ask for help and I am still getting depressed because no help is in view. There is still hope as far as there is life and health. I am a graduate.
